Can Adopted Sims Get Imaginary Friends?

The Guide for Imaginary Friends says that CAS toddlers have a chance of getting the doll in their inventory, and babies born through Try for Baby get their doll mailed to them. So, how do adopted babies get their dolls? Can they get dolls?

None of my adopted Sims have ever gotten the doll but I do tend to adopt children rather then babies or toddlers. On occasion I have had children born in game not get the doll and townies born in game hardly ever have it in my experience.

I adopted several toddlers in a game recently and they all got Imaginary Friend dolls in the mail the next day.

Thanks, Caramia. I tried it out, too, and I got the doll as well. Looks like I won't have a problem, then.

Yes, I had a si m family adopt a child and they got an IF doll in the mail a couple days later.
