How do I get a Sim to break up with their partner?

I'm planning on using Dennis Racket as the next baby daddy in my Genetics Challenge, even though he's already married. Is there a way in which I can get my Simself to ask him to break up with his wife? As he also has the Hopeless Romantic trait, will that affect the chances of him carrying it out?

When you become good friends or best friends (Can't remember which), there is an option under friendly to "Ask Dennis to break up with Silver".   Silver will become your worst enemy but that's the easiest way.

As Ricalynn said, he/she will break up instantly with their partner, etc. Just be prepared, because someenemies can be a pain. One followed my sim and heckled her everywhere. Then she was falsely accused of getting into a fight.

In my game that option is always under "romantic" to break up with someone.  But you have to have a high enough romantic relationship for it to show up.
