How to use Omni plant?

Hey, so I have Omni plant seeds, and I want them to grow death fish. I planted them and then fertilized them with death fish, and they died. Is it not possible to grow death fish, or am I supposed to do something different, or what?

There's a difference between fertilising and feeding an omni plant. Fertilising with death fish will kill any and all plants, but with omni plants you have the option to 'feed' it something - that 's when you should feed it deathfish. But be careful, because as it brings up a list of all the items in your inventory, having heaps in the inventory can make it really slow.
