Wait outside

I just found a bug I never even knew existed, but it seems it's quite old. I have a sim who keeps reverting to the 'wait outside' interaction, even in her own home! Does anyone know a fix for this? The usual things don't work.

I've had this a few times. It seems to come when you visit someone and they don't answer the door and leave you waiting outside. When it happens I think it's because the ones your visiting are stuck in the house. Try doing a resetsim on them then visit the house again an see if they let you in and it should break the cycle.

I have a Sim who is a teen who has the "waiting outside" and it won't stop.  I don't remember him visiting anyone except the trick or treater who he got candy from.  I tried a resetsim command but that isn't working either.  Any ideas?
