Taking Time Off

I noticed that sims can now take up to 5 days off of work via cellphone. I only noticed this for the professions since I hadn't bothered doing rabbit hole careers now that I have Ambitions, but I'm pretty sure it works for those too. Useful so you can teach skills to toddlers or something like that.

You don't get paid for it though, I guess it is just like a Holiday.

That would be ok to me. At least get enough days off to get the toddler aged up to child so you don't have to get a babysitter.

Or if work is going bad you can take time off to get the neglected skill up, like in Science where you suddenly have to get to like level 6 fishing.

I've found that the sim's request for time off isn't automatically approved. I don't know why, but some of my sims have no trouble getting time off while others can't get it.

Maybe it has something to do with how hard your sim works or the relationship between sim and boss?

Actually, it seems like it depends how hard the sim is working, and how many days they go to work. Pro's do not have bosses, so it can't be bosses.

how can I do that?

I don't think you can do that, sort of like after having a baby, you can't go back to work until the days are up. I have tried clicking on the "go to work" button, but it does not work. Maybe someone else might know, but to my knowledge, you can't go back to work.

You can't get more time off straight after completing time off, by the way. I tried and it didn't work. lol I wanted to have my sim not work, but keep the profession's name so he still looked legit to his wife.
