Sims Medieval - ancient powder

My priest has to make a spirit cleanser that requires ancient powder. Where do I get ancient powder? It's not in the village shop.

I may be late on this but from my experience you can get it through digging using the cruddium shovel which is sold from the village shop, it takes a few tries though.
