I'm having trouble with my game and I don't know if I can fix it.
My family consists of a mother and father, a child and just recently, twin baby girls. Right after the twins were brought home, I moved the family to an empty lot and built them a bigger house. I last left of with them coming into the new house after being freshly built.
When I went to play again, something strange had happened - my sims won't move! Technically, the child is the sim I'm controlling (I see his wishes and things), and I can give him commands, but he doesn't do them! He just stands in front of the dresser that I had him change his outfit with. The icons of the other household members are just blank green squares, and when I click on them it doesn't do anything. When I unpause the game, nobody moves, but the clock is still running. I exited and and reloaded the game, and then something worse happened - my sims were completely gone! It was like I was looking at an empty house - no sim was occupying the house, and the furniture was gone! I recently restored the game back to where they are in the house, but they still won't move!
I only have the base game, and all my patches are up to date (I think). Has anyone had anything similar happen in their game? I don't want to lose my family, I've grown quite attached to them!! Please help!! Thank you and happy holidays
