Tattoo, Makeover, and Edit in CAS bugs

I know that there has been a lot of talk about getting tattoos and makeovers but what if you just have them done at home by buying the tattoo machine/makeover stand? Does that still put back a sim's age? Also on another thread (sorry I don't have a link) someone said that using the Edit-in-CAS cheat messed with your sims age too? Is that true because whenever I use that cheat nothing seems to happen to my sim's age.

Sometimes when I use Edit in CAS my age bars goes 3-4 days down 17 days till aging up. And sometimes when I use edit in CAS my sims slouch like a child

I don't know about getting tattoos & makeovers at home, but the Edit-in-CAS cheat almost always brings down the age bar to the beginning of the sim's lifestage for me, no matter what I'm doing in there.

Anything about the makeover and tattoo stations at home?

If you click makeover or tattoo self, the age bar stays normal I think
