Ethnicity passed along through the genes to future generations

I am curious about something. Let's say for example, that you have a fairy and a genie. They give birth to a son who is a fairy. He grows up and meets another Sim who is a witch. They marry and give birth to a child. Is there a chance that that child will be a genie due to family genetics? What are your experiences with genetics and ethnicity? Thanks and happy Simming!

As far as I know when it comes to life states (and I've done some testing, trust me), it's only between the two active parents. According to the game code, grandparents only pass on fairy wing color, eye color, skin color, body shape & hair color.

Hmmm interesting. Once I had two fairies that were married. One had green wings and white skin. The other had hot pink skin and pink wings. I ended up with a baby who had green skin and green wings and dark hair. Not sure where the dark hair and green skin came from. It was odd.

If you used one of the rainbow sliders, then a child can be born anywhere along that line between the two parents location. So if you had a sim with a slider that was farther to the left of one rainbow slider and another farther to the right of the green slider then the child could be anywhere in between on either slider so they could be pale green or purple. Hair has a small chance of mutation which can make it random from the hairs you have available saved or the base game colors.
