Reanimation Rituals

Where does the Sim go after you use the Reanimation Ritual? I used it on 2 Sims in the Sunset Valley graveyard, used the cure elixir on each of them and then they both ran out of the graveyard and disappeared. Where did they go?

They went to go live as homeless townies.  They can still be invited over if you have them in your relationship panel.
