Why can't I put Chinese houses in Lunar Lakes?

Any ideas? Those houses are so beautiful. Lunar lakes is my favourite town, and the Chinese houses aren't remotely in keeping, but I tried to place some copied Chinese houses into my town. I just get errors that say I can't do it (and don't explain why). The lots I tried are definitely big enough and definitely residential.

This doesn't really have anything to do with World Adventures game play, so I'm moving it to the Miscellaneous Help board.

Also, it would be helpful to know exactly what the error said when you tried to place the houses.
