Adding pets to a pet store for displays.

I'm working on building a pet store and was wondering how you add pets to the store like putting a bird on the bird tree and snakes, lizards and rodents in the terrariums like they have in Graham's Pet Swap Shop.

I guess the only way to do it is to have your sim pay for by it going to the store and click on the bird tree, cage or terrarium and select stock and pick from the different animals choices for each item.
