Upgrading Property?

Hey...
I decided to try the Immortal Dynasty challenge... and my founder has finally purchased his property... but I can not for the life of me figure out how to upgrade! It has to be obvious since its not covered in Carls Property and Venue guide!

While in Map View, left click on the property icon and select real estate option.  Then you will select build or buy mode access those items so that you can do the upgrade.
