From my tests in v1.19, it does not look like they do. On a side note, I was also not able to get the hidden trait from the maid either. I have found no evidence that it's broken from anyone else besides me though.
I've sufferd the same with the maid. But I've read (of course when it was too late already
) that you have to marry the maid and THAN made the children, not the other way around like I did.
Perhaps with the Butler this works the same way. They always have the neat trait, so perhaps it can work now too.
One thing though, I'm not really sure if changing the maids career (by giving a new one after marriage) will whipe out the ability of passing down the hidden clean trait. If you know, please note.
