I'm sure you meant well Shyro, but there's a reason this forum is strongly opposed to mods:  they can badly damage your game.  As Hosfac said in the post before yours, buying a good bed for your sims usually fixes the problem and is a great deal safer.

Did you try giving the room they sleep in some nice art work, etc. My sim was publicly disgraced and had a VERY bad moodlet (lost 10 friends); but going to bed increased her moddlet, because the room was well decorated! Try that and see if it works for you.

Actually, when the "bed bug" hits, nothing elevates their mood past a certain point (which gets lower every time you sleep).
Old forum mods never die.  We just get archived.

I get this problem too and I couldn't work out why it was happening all the time, so thanks for posting this and for the helpful replies, I will buy a new bed next time I play. I also get the negative moodlet 'dirty surrondings' alot too even though the room is clean and is well decorated etc and I was wondering if that is possibly related too?

Hi simmum! There's a thread about that somewhere. I can tell you right now: check your Sims' ceiling's for rubbish. I know it sounds weird, but that sometimes happens.

EDIT: The thread is here
EDIT 2: Since we've determined that it is the Well Rested moodlet, one could simply make someone sleep until the energy bar was nearly, but not completely, full, couldn't they?

Just to add a suggestion to ways to avoid this bug.  To make sure your sim gets enough rest, sleep for part of the night, then nap for the rest.  Napping on any bed has never resulted in this moodlet for me.  Also,  if your sim goes to bed very late in the night and wakes up on their own because it's morning and not because their energy bar is filled, they don't receive the positive moodlet or its corresponding invisible negative counterpart.  It requires a little management, but isn't the whole game about management?   :D  An expensive bed is always at the top of my "to buy" list, though.  Permanent solution, that.  I really hope the new EP or the update that will no doubt come soon after its release will solve this.
