What would be the best career path for my genius sim?

My sim is a genius and I'm not sure what career is best for her. Not exactly a tech guru, but she excelled in school and was science-y. I do not have the Get To Work expansion pack, only the standard game. Any advice?

I'm so tempted to say 'bodybuilder'. Because a genius Sim should definitely not go for a career that requires brainpower.

Welcome to the forum.  To be honest any sim with any traits can do any career. The genius trait just randomly applies a focused moodlet to your sim which doesn't really do much as it only lasts 4 hrs. If you choose a career that requires the sim being focused as the ideal mood then that 4 hour buff can sometimes help to push the sim towards the next promotion if you are using the Work Hard tone.
