Annoyed with everyone being a musician-can they be turned off?

Am I the only one who finds it annoying that EVERYONE in Birdgeport plays the guitar, etc. You go to a party as a Rock Star and everyone is playing an instrument and paople are nodding their heads (even though the person playing is terrible). No one pays attention to the Rock Star playing, only the idiots who can't play.

Does anyone know a cheat to decrease the number of sims playing in the neighborhood?

I think that when they're playing, you can get your sim to ask them to take a break. That's all I can think of that might help.

Yes, that I know; but, the problem is that everyone  in town (even Matt Hamming) play the guitar. I find it very annoying.

Bridgeport is the town that came with the expansion that really introduced music into the game.  Yes, there were guitars and the music career before, but Late Night is was really brought it to life.  It stands to reason that the townies there are going to be a bit more musically inclined, but I do understand what you're talking about.  Almost everyone there has an instrument of some kind in their inventory.

But it would make it kind of hard to jam with another sim if it wasn't like this.
