Petty cash offshore account in Late Night
« on: April 26, 2011, 02:45:59 AM »
OK, I have Late Night installed and I made $99,999,999. The remainder money went to a petty cash offshore account. Mind you, I achieved that amount of money without any cheats. By the way, this is the same game whereby I am trying to achieve all 4 star challenges when it comes to instruments.

My question is, what now? What should I do?

First thing is: Don't expect to get that money back!
I'd buy a lot of things, or use familyfunds to reduce your money. Point is, even though your sims are rich, you're not really going to be able to do much. I mean, sure there is no point making money when you have $78million, but when you've hit the cap, the money literally vanishes.

Another idea is to invest. That money will come back, but over a moderate period of time.
Donate to "charity". E.G. The Alvi family live with little to no money (even though they're probably dead because you're on Week 30, I read on another thread).
Use FamilyFunds to reduce your money by, say, $10,000,000 and then use FamilyFunds to give the Alvi family $10,000,000.

But great job on managing to earn that amount of money!

Thanks for the reply mate! But how do I donate money to other sims? Never tried it before!

Well, it's not completely legitimate.

1. Open the cheat console. (Ctrl+Shift+C)
2. Type in familyfunds name amount
3. Press enter.
4. If that fails, reopen the cheat console
5. Type "Testingcheatsenabled true"
6. Press enter
7. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3
8. Reopen the cheat console
9. Repeat step 2, but with a different family name and with the exact same amount.
10. Press enter.

The family you type in (in step 9) will be richer!

You can't actually donate money to other families out of your own family funds.  Seabody is talking about a testing cheat that lets you bring any family up to a certain amount of money, but it doesn't reduce your money.

There's probably not much else you can do if this family has worked in all the careers and professions.  There are still many things you can do with the game, however.  Have you checked out our Challenge Board?  There's always something interesting going on there!  :)

Well thanks for the reply Pam but I am still challenging myself in completing the bass, piano, guitar and drum star challenges after all these months! Granted, I never played the Sims for a few weeks but I feel that I am coming closer to the goal. Right now, I am in week 41 by the way!

@ Pam: I think what Seabody means about "donating to other families" is creating a story around using the familyfunds cheat to decrease your household by x amount and then increasing another family's household funds by x amount - pretending to "transfer" x amount from your household to another, knowing that that isn't what actually happens.

@ Seabody: familyfunds cheat is under testingcheatsenabled. I've done this fairly recently.

OK, guys! I found a solution to my problem. Apparently, I used the family fund "cheat" and made my cash go down to $1,000. In this way, I keep my game interesting.

Also, I would like to ask what would happen to the total value of tips if they reach $99,999,999? Will the game still keep score of the tips? The reason I am asking this is because I am still pursing the guitar, drums and bass star challenges. Their tips are now about $30 million dollars each! What would happen if I break the $99,999,999 barrier?

Presently, I am in week 45 day 5 and I only completed the piano star skill. What is the maximum number of weeks this game can handle by the way? Is it 1,000 weeks or is there no limit to it? Please advise! Thanks!

I honestly have no idea Blanchflower! The furthest I have ever heard someone take a game was in the Immortal Dynasty where Pam finished on about Week 52. I believe the game would be able to handle 100 weeks. I couldn't tell you how much longer than that, though.

How did you make that much money?

I did it by playing for tips in the subway. In one session, I can easily earn about $3,000,000. The reason being so is because I performed for about 2,700 times for each instrument except for the piano where I completed the piano star challenge at a relatively early time.

I am still pursuing the other 3 instruments where the star challenge is concerned.

By the way, is it possible to play the game for a 1,000 weeks? Also, if you earn $99,999,999 for each instrument, is it possible to earn more? Of course, one must use the family fund "cheat" to reset the amount of money you can have to make this possible in the first place!
