Generations won't uninstall?
« on: December 30, 2011, 05:21:52 PM »
I have the issue that Generations wasn't working properly. I went to uninstall it and it hasn't worked. Now I have uninstalled all the expansions and the main game but it is still saying its installed. Whenever. I put the cd in it asks me if I want to remove it and all it's settings. After it finishes, it tells me that the uninstalltion is complete but it is still there. Finally, I tried to manually uninstall it using instructions from another thread. In the thread it asks you to delete the Sims 3 folder. When I went searching for it I discovered it no longer exists. I searched the entire computer and it is nowhere to be found. How would I be able to get rid of it?

In the technical help thread there is a really awesome topic with a step by step guide on how to manually uninstall EPs.

I hope that this helps you.

Ok now I have my head screwed on the right way again.

I would skip that parts that did manage to uninstall and continue with the next steps.

If that fails then I would roll back using system restore to before you began the deletion and then try to manually remove the game. If that doesn't work then come back and I will talk you through something else.

Kindest Regards
