Parties
« on: November 26, 2011, 02:58:25 PM »
My computer isn't superfast, but it isn't that bad. TS3 runs okay, but as soon as I try to throw a party the whole game freezes. Reseting my sim is not helping at all and the game usually just ends up crashing. Help anyone?
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

The game slows down when there is a lot of sims on the lot. Have you tried to throw a party at a community lot? You can try the beach there is not a lot of objects to render.

You can go to edit town and put all that stuff on the beach and the wedding cake you can buy at the grocery store and put in your sim's invetory. Just remember to put a table on the beach to put the cake on!

I built a community lot just for weddings.  With a 'chapel' looking building and a reception area.  Makes it easier and less messy at home. ;)  Just buy a cake to take with you and make sure you've got a table for the cake as suggested.

as I see you have a lot of issues with your graphic card, my suggestion is to stop playing in bridgeport, see if you can find a small worlds, place only lots you need, keep them small and simple and only a few households, it make take some time to do it, but it will turn out better then any EA premade world, as for your party probleme, like the others say, there are a few wedding chapels aviable at the swapshop, just take your cake and party there !

Thanks everyone for your help. I think I'm probably just download a wedding chapel since that seems the easiest and most convienent. I'm not too big a fan of getting a new town, but I may try that also just for the experience and see if the game runs better with that.

In my experience, Bridgeport is the buggiest of the EA worlds as well.
