The Woo Woo 4000

How can I stop my sims from using it without actually deleting it? I need it for a challenge, but even when I put it in the family inventory they KEEP GETTING IT BACK OUT! Even when I click on another vehicle in their inventory and select 'visit lot', they still use the Woo Woo 4000. If I put it in another sim's inventory in the household, they STILL use it! I didn't make it preferred vehicle, and there is no option to make the other vehicle preferred. Help!

Edit: resetsim does not work; resetting the vehicles does not work; clicking on them whilst placed on the lot does not work; restarting game and clearing caches does not work.

I've seen this same complaint more than once and I'm not aware of a solution.  I think Sims just really love riding around in the fire truck.

I completely misread the title of this post and thought it was the Woo Hoo 4000     Must get my mind out of the gutter... 

I know I would want to ride around in a firetruck if I had the chance.

Is it possible to put it in your household inventory (in buy mode)?  I know you can put other vehicles in there and the sims won't use them, but don't know if that's even possible with a profession reward.

I had this problem too.  I was frustrated.  I had another car as the preferred but he kept driving the woo woo anyway.  After some time, I thought to put it in the family inventory in the build/buy mode and then he stopped driving it.  I wouldn't want to lose it for anything.  It was wonderful to have for quite awhile.  Afraid to take it out again in case I can't put it back.  My sim sure did love it.  I have put many profession awards in the build/buy family inventory as well as other prof. award cars.  They stay there.
