As much as I love Twinbrook, I think Appaloosa Plains would suit your Sims the most. I adore Skye's new outfits, by the way.  :)
Appaloosa Plains and Twinbrook are my favourite towns so I never get sick of them. I agree that the family suit Appaloosa Plains. Thanks Ausette!

From now on, I am going to try to update this story every Friday. School starts again so my time to play and update is reduced.

Chapter 9: Growing
Both of the kids spend time in the gym. Skye works out to stay fit and be able to ride for longer while Charles runs to impress the ladies.

They seem to have been really bonding recently. They sometimes do homework together but only if they don’t have an afterschool activity.

Skye trains with Giddy every night after school, unless she has something else that needs doing. During the day Damon and I both care for Giddy by upgrading the water trough and spreading the hay.

She sometimes goes for a morning ride but being half asleep while riding is not a good idea.

Having so much time together, Damon and I usually go out. We recently went to the pool and boy was the slip ‘n’ slide fun!

After prom, Jaimee aged up to Young Adult. Charles knew that their relationship would not be able to continue and the pair broke up. Charles wasn’t heartbroken but Jaimee seems to be in tears all the way home.

Skye has been going out quite a bit with her boyfriend, Braden Cordova. They started off just going to the park to work on homework but when he came over the next day they were smooching away.

We found this odd looking gnome near Giddy’s salt lick. We decided to name it Giddy-Up.

Speaking of horses, Skye entered her first official race and she won. She came first in a beginner racing competition and amazingly beat all of the adults she versed.

But that wasn’t the biggest event on the agenda. The day before Charles and I were to age up, we had one last family event by watching the TV before school.

The next day, early in the morning, Charles and I each blew out the candles.

I didn’t feel too good about my look. I aged up with a long robe.

Charles on the other hand aged up looking pretty cute.

I found some dye and dyed the tips of my hair.

Charles on the other hand still has beautiful hair and dye would be pointless.

It feels like just yesterday Charles was born, now he is a Young Adult and I am an Elder. And to believe in just a few days Skye will also be a Young Adult, and we can see who will be the heir.
Next Time: Skye’s birthday and the end of Union Cove.

Author’s Note: I am so sorry this is late but I have been a bit busy over the last couple of days.
Until my exams are over, don’t expect a chapter every Friday as I may not be able to write or play enough for a chapter.

Thanks SimBlip. I really do love the Saforias.

The family will not be moving to Appaloosa Plains but instead Lunar Lakes. With it being on sale, I was able to buy it and so the family will be moving there instead. I'm really excited.

So am I! It is a wondrous world. I do not have it myself, but know it from other stories.
I bet your family will thrive there!  :D

I am hoping I'm able to log into the EA store to get Lunar Lakes while it is on special. I have sim points just purchased waiting for me to enter. Oh yeah, I'm at work. Bye :)

Chapter 10: Farewell to the Union
As soon as Skye was whisked off in the school bus and Damon and I were relaxing in the hot tub (we don’t do anything but) Charles went off into town. He went to the business complex to sign up for a job as a journalist.

Now that Skye has a boyfriend, she spends less time with Giddy, so I have become Giddy’s caretaker. I don’t mind but I hate having to brush him when he smells. Ergh.

Charles has maxed his writing skill the same day as becoming a young adult.

The next day is his graduation. He is Class Valedictorian and the Most Likely to be a Writer. (Or something like that)

We decide to celebrate and go out for lunch at the bistro. We all mysteriously ate apart. Probably because Damon and I still stunk from our workout in the morning.

Charles actually goes and chats with the (im)famous Melissa Dreamer and they surprisingly become friends. Let’s just hope Charles doesn’t want to join her in her field of work.

Skye entered her second riding competition and this time came 4th. She and Giddy led for most of the race but fell short right at the end. She was shattered when she rode home.

But she soon got over it as she was about to become a young adult while her father joined me in elder hood. We had arranged for a party but very rudely, the only attendee was the hired Mixologist.

It did not matter as both Damon and Skye enjoyed the day. Even if they aged up with hideous haircuts.

Both dashed off to the dressers for brand new looks as Charles and I stuffed out faces on cake.

Later that day, after we had all packed, Skye went out to meet with Braden. She had decided that it would only be fitting to bring Braden along with us when we moved. Braden happily accepted the kind offer to move in and got a new look.

And to end the night, we all crammed into a tight taxi with Giddy following in a trailer. We shouted good-bye to Union Cove. And good-bye to Generation 1 of the Saforia Legacy.

Next Time: A look into the new house, new love and new pets.

Can't wait to see how they do in Lunar Lakes!

Same here! I love how you wrapped it all up.
Isn't Skye just to die for? No wonder Braden wants to move with them.
That last picture is superb. It conveys melancholy, yet excitement for the future. :)

I'm really enjoying Lunar Lakes. I've added a heap of lots (bars, Showtime lots, riding lots, etc) and I've been exploring the whole town. I just noticed an area today that I hadn't noticed when I first checked through the town.  :P The best part is that it loads very fast.

The only part of Skye I don't like is that one of her lips is a bit big.
The last picture is one of my favourites. Thanks!

I just want everyone to know that the only reason I haven't been updating is because I haven't been playing at all except for building. I've been really busy but hopefully in two and a half weeks I can resume normal posting methods.

Chapter 11:New Planet, New Life
It feels weird to write about our first days in Lunar Lakes because I feel as if everyone already knows. Don’t ask me why though. I just don’t know how to start. Do I start from when we left Union Cove? Do I start from when Mum felt sick on the plane? Or maybe I should just get Charles to write instead?
Well, I better make a start. Our new house in Lunar Lakes is very different from our old house. For starters, parts of it are floating. Secondly, there’s a pool. Finally, it is a much smaller lot. Already the house has undergone some more renovations since these photos were taken, like the addition of grass in the house area and the demolition of the circular fountains to make a horse area!

As soon as we threw our bags into our rooms, we all went out. Even Giddy went to the racing track to train. While Mum, Dad, Braden and I went out to one of the parks to fish and relax, Charles went off somewhere else. Apparently he went to go see some girl and apparently he had a rather good time. He didn’t return until after work the next morning.

I got to celebrate my graduation the next day and while I wasn’t Valedictorian, I was Most Likely to Become a Sports Star. Shame I am a jockey.

Dad has been helping Braden start a garden to put his gardening and cooking skills to use. Dad has really only been upgrading the sprinklers but Braden is very thankful.

Braden even wakes up early some mornings to cook breakfast so that when we get up we can eat right away! How sweet.

Mum has started to train me again and she is very tough. I’ve noticed she seems to be getting bored now. Charles and I are grown up and she has no job.

So I thought of a brilliant idea. Why not adopt another horse and get Mum to help care for him and Giddy? That was exactly what I did. I adopted Diamond Crease from our neighbours and while he is still a foal, I can see that he will become Mum’s favourite. Horse, not child.

Nonetheless, I’ve had to take care of him too. I’ve had to bottle-feed him when he is hungry and take him to the training grounds with Giddy and Mum to see Giddy training. What does Mum do?

She plays catch with some random kid.

But when I wanted some alone time with Giddy, she took Diamond away and went to the fishing spot with Dad. While he fished, Mum became friends with Diamond.

On the last day of the week, Braden took me to Memories of Riverview. It was late and I had no idea why he wanted to come here. After a while he pretended to trip and lifted a box out of his pocket.

“Will you marry me Skye Saforia?”
I covered my mouth and began to jump. He was proposing!

“Of course I will!” I squealed in delight.
The ring was beautiful and looked even more beautiful on me. I couldn’t help but staring at it for a minute.

But, on the other side of town, a certain man was proposing to a certain woman.

Congratulations on an excellent move. The family seems to take to lunar Lakes like fish to water.
Diamond Crease has an unusual head shape. Maybe that's typical of the local breed?
How exciting to have two engagements! Are we in for a double wedding?
A delightful update! :)

Thanks SimBlip! Diamond Crease is actually a foal from a family I made, the Creases. They are on the Swap Shop and I added them to the town and the horse had three foals. We are in for a double wedding except it didn't all go to plan...

Chapter 12: Double Wedding
To celebrate their engagements, the two groom-to-bes throw a Bachelor Party down at the pool. They chose the one furthest away from our house. I wonder why?

Now I didn’t attend, had other things to do like actually be able to wake up the next morning, and I’m pretty sure the bride-to-be doesn’t attend the Bachelor Party. Right?
Well, Dad was invited and Mum and I stayed home and relaxed while Charles got nectar sprayed into his face.

Dad and Braden were much more civilised and spent more time relaxing in the hot tub than spraying nectar and making a mess. I guess Braden just didn’t want to get into trouble!

Charles was rather excited when the party dancers arrived. He watched one dance before flirting with another. Let’s just hope Amelia will forgive him for that. I certainly wouldn’t.

In other news, we bought a Bonehilda coffin and Bonehilda is awesome. She just cleans away with no complaints. If only Braden was like that...

I’ve also maxed my Riding skill. I showed off my awesomeness by performing a heroic pose before entering a race, which I ended up losing. Karma for boasting.

But personally I couldn’t care less because soon mine and Charles’ wedding(s) approached. The whole lot of us cramped into a taxi even though we own two cars that are in perfect condition.

We arrive at Memories of Sunset Valley and see the whole place ready for a wedding. Braden and I were to be first wed. We stood underneath the arch as everyone either stood or sat.

Soon we had become husband and wife.

Together we cut the cake and it was a mess. Everyone was fighting for a piece and there were pathing problems everywhere. I’m just glad I got my piece!

Meanwhile, and much more importantly, Diamond ages up to an adult horse with a few skill points in both jumping and riding. Can’t wait to start entering races with him.

Back to the wedding(s). As most guests leave, Charles takes Amelia Loveland to the archway as the whole family stand and watch.

Early in the night, they kiss and become husband and wife. Shame we didn’t have another cake.
