I would like to have the kind of dryer where you take out the clean laundry clearly ironed and folded and then magically disappears into the closets.

Deffo the ability to transport.  I would go to a different museum or garden or historical site here in London or abroad every day, and be home in time for dinner.  From my replicator.  And I would have a chest, those things are amazing.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

I would love a mirror from the Sims3.  All you have to do is look in it and you can instantly change your hair, no mater how long or short it is.  And instantly get rid of an unwanted beard.

Hmm... I'd go with the Fountain of Youth (you can't do this in the Sims, though I would bottle the water and sell it for a huge profit!) or Wishing Well (repeated "Wish for Power" to max my career). The Not-So Routine Machine and Moodlet Manager would of course be cool too.. Too many choices!

In terms of "realistic" items, though, the Margaret Vaguester would probably be what I go for, even if only to sell it immediately.

The tablet or the massage chair, or both!

Hmm.....

3 Teleporters: I have friends in two different states, and I would love to be able to go back and forth to visit easily.

or

The ability to use Build/Buy modes in reality at the price the sims pay, thereby easily and cheaply doing the repairs and upgrades on my home.

or

Young Again + Age Freeze potions for myself and hubby: I'm hitting the downhill slope of 30 and starting to feel it. He's getting ready to hit forty.

or

Bottled Witches' Brew and an Alchemy Station: So that I can cast a restoration spell on the house and brew my own potions to achieve what I want. Heehee.... Buy a bushel of apples + conversion ritual = selling precious gems, metals, etc. and I can pay a contractor to fix the house. Add in the potions from the alchemy station and I'd be rich and never have to age if I didn't want to. (Okay, so toadifying an annoying former boss might have occurred to me as well!)
A 1920s era house needing heat, AC, new floors, new drywall on the walls and ceilings, new bathroom fixtures, new kitchen cabinets, new water heaters.... The roof is sound, but why didn't I just buy an empty lot?

Thinking realistically from my philosophical mindset....hmm.....I hate fantasy anyways. :P

I would like to own the that 18th century office table. I love the 18th century furniture, dresses and other things from the same era.

Secondly, the Top Hat and Felt Hat, along with the coats and pants and all those formal suits.

The stylish bookshelves would be nice too. :)

I just want to be able to make my toilets, sinks and showers self-cleaning.

The teleporter! I often find myself thinking "if I could only teleport myself!" and then "wait... if I were a sim, I could get a teleporter!"  LOL.

The Alchemy Station. Since it's not real, I can easily manipulate the law of chemistry into my bidding.

Google "automatic shower cleaning." That one, at least, is possible. I'm afraid drop-in tablets are the closest we can get for toilets. No word on sinks.

I still want the alchemy station. However, for sheer amusement value, the time machine might just be pretty good.... Assuming I don't accidentally kill a grandparent or grandchild, I'd love to have tomorrow's stock info. (Yes, I would be evil that way.) But, walking up to a physicist and breaking their poor minds with the fact that it actually works would be hillarious.
