Ten bucks says it's another meteor! (Or Shawnya's scared of pink.)

Also, congrats to Percy and Shawnya!

Haha, I wish sims ran in fear away from a meteor! Instead, they all run toward it to get a good look! The survival instinct is not strong enough to overcome the curiosity.

Oh man, someone else got the dinner plate mourning!  I really, really want to know what that is.

I haven't a clue, either. I'd also like to apologize here for having sidetracked your story thread somewhat over my technical difficulties. It never occurred to me that HoF could be an issue and derail your thread a bit. Fortunately, I checked with the Immortal Dynasty "gurus" and it's all good! Whew! Still, probably best not to do what I did without checking first.

Whaaaat? Why is she running from Gage? (That's Gage, right?) Too bad she didn't stay blue :( She is still pretty though. Good luck with the nooboo.

Thanks! Yeah, I knew it was sort of a long shot that she'd stay blue but *sigh*. Not like I had any better options. And yes, that is Gage! As a coward, I'd think he'd be the one fleeing, not making others flee!

Congratulations, Percy! It's too bad that his bride didn't stay blue--fingers crossed for a rainboo!

It really is. Blue sims are like, almost as good as rainbow sims. And thanks! If all goes well, this will be the last birth for which I cannot orchestrate a colorful spouse/lover to sire the next generation. Of course that "if all goes well" is a pretty big if, but still! This could be the last big hurtle towards getting--dare I even hope--an all colorful dynasty? Even if both parents are rainbow, though, there's always a chance of getting skin color from a non-rainbow grandparent so, we'll see!

A Changeable Woman

Although Shawnya had appeared to be fleeing in terror from the sight of Gage due to a mistimed speech bubble, she made her real feelings clear a moment later.

It was Marie's red glow that did the trick, even though Shawnya doesn't have the cowardly trait. Perhaps the reaction is based on the strength of the relationship? You flee if a stranger glows red but not a friend?

Anyway, the newlyweds instantly got busy!

They hopped into the wardrobe for a bit of fun, but when they hopped out, Shawnya looked quite different!

Then a moment later she swirled back into her usual look.

Her eyes, likewise, are rather changeable. One moment, they are this clear, shining grey.

Then, the reality of pregnancy hits her. She swirls in maternity wear and suddenly:

Sort of a purple grey now, I think. Well, who knows? Being married to a used-to-be-genie is certainly strange. Maybe Shawnya just wants to keep us all on our toes. What hair color does the baby stand to inherit from her, who knows! What eye color, who knows!

She finds that she enjoys switching back and forth from moment to moment. Percival starts a massage and she looks one way.

But then when he finishes up, Shawnya decides its time to switch up her look again.

Percival is quite excited to meet his son, of course.

And despite their fears, the household readily accepted Shawnya--even if she wasn't as colorful as they might have hoped.

But while Percival and Shawnya eagerly look forward to their nooboo, surrounded by plenty of family and friends, there's another young woman in this town who isn't so fortunate. Dewayne died, leaving Mara Nix very much the single, pregnant mother. Gage does what he can to be there for her at such a difficult time.

He also helps out around the house by tutoring Mara and Dewayne's other children.

Rafael:

Doreen:

Gage is fortunate enough to actually witness the at-home birth. Mara ushers into the world Dewayne's final child: LaShawn Nix.

He's not a wereboo like his older siblings, but with this fury family--well, it's bound to happen eventually.

It true, those werewolves really know how to cling on to life: stay in werewolf form, avoid birthday!

Wow, that's quite the magic act! I hope the nooboo inherits her eyes--purple and grey are my top two favorite eye colors in sims!

The grey and purple eyes are definitely welcome! I still have no idea where Percival got them from.

When I saw LaShawn I first though Shawna had given birth and was excited to see another rainboo! Shawna is really keeping us on our toes.

Heh, I didn't even think about the similarities between their names! But no, I would never name anything "LaShawn." What an awful name!

Winter Child

Shawnya was painting at the easel, as she often does, being artistic, when the first contraction hit.

I figured I would give her some privacy get right up in her face and share this intimate moment with you all.

Shawnya: "GAAAAAH! Get . . . out . . . of my . . . FAAAAACE!"

The pain passed and sparkles flooded over her.

Forum, please welcome Darcy Dojo, Generation Six.

Shawnya: "Isn't he just perfect? He's blue, like I used to be!"

Well, the last few generations have been getting pretty close to blue. It looks like we finally got there!

Now that the baby was born, Shawnya got plopped down in front of the mirror to finally resolve the issue of her changing appearance. Here's what she looks like in the mirror:

Her eyes are a sort of green/blue-grey color. The hair, though originally auburn, changed to blonde when I selected a different hairstyle. I didn't really like the blonde though, so I manually switched it back to the auburn.

Here's what she looks like after her make-over. Indian style clothing seemed appropriate for an ex-genie. The braids and feathers don't really fit culturally with the rest of her wardrobe, but they looked too pretty not to use for some of the outfits where India Inspirations hairstyles were unavailable.

Now that generation six was born, the family headed out to the winter festival to take a family photo and celebrate their good luck.

Samura has become quite the excellent ice skater.

Shawnya, on the other hand, has a thing or two to learn.

She almost body slams some poor townie, who barely manages to scurry out of the way in time.

Maybe you should try something safer, sweetie. Why don't you go make a nice snow angel instead?

Hey, who's got the baby?

*facepalm*

No wonder he's blue, huh? Someone please grab this baby, ASAP!

When they come home, it's time for Darcy's first birthday.

He gets blonde hair from either Shawnya or Marie, and brown eyes, which I think would be from his grandmother Marie--who got them from her dad Nolan who got them from his dad Pablo, which would also be where the blond hair comes from if it came from Marie.

HAHA!  The baby in the snow.  That's so wrong and yet so hilarious.  I might have lol'd.  I agree that the auburn is best.  Now the real question is whether the baby inherited her old skin color or if he just happens to be that level of blue on the rainboo scale ...

Yay! He's a blueboo! Darcy is just so very cute, with the blonde hair and blue skin and I forget what eyes he had and he's so cute!

I completely envy you the India Inspiration set, the clothes and hair are beautiful! I love how you incorporated it into Shawnya's wardrobe, since she was a genie.

The blond hair looks so nice with the blue skin! What a cutie!

And leaving the newborn baby buried in 2 and a half feet of snow reminds me of the time in your last attempt where one of Lex's (?) girlfriend's put her baby down just to pee on it. I can't decide which one is worse, honestly.  :-\

Well, he is her exact shade of blue but then that shade is also on the rainbow slider so, who knows?

I really do love that set! It's a shame I don't get the chance to use it as much as I'd like, so I really jumped on it for Shawnya.

Huzzah for alliteration! Darcy Dojo of the Dojo Dynasty! Now if he were to start his own, then it'd be Darcy's Dojo Dynasty and we'd have even more!

Baby peeing on sim is definitely worse! Hahahaha, I crack up every time I think about it! I think it's also much more rare to see in the game, which I think also makes it worse. Many sims leave their children on the ground despite snow, but most sims don't pee on their babies! Hehehehe.

Just caught up! What a treat!  :D

That photo gave me a laugh. Poor Darcy being left to freeze. The Indian clothes really do suit Shawna. I think Darcy's skin colour is Shawna's old skin. It looks very similar.

Changeable Woman, Changeable Heart

Percival continues to climb the professional sports career. He's just a pee-wee coach for now, but he trusts he'll soon be finding his way into the big leagues.

He's starting to look quite buff.

Percival decides that the elders really need to get in shape. He puts his dad Everette through the paces on the treadmill.

Gage stops by the Rodgers household for a little visit. He was hoping to run into Lester to make sure they stay best friends, but he was unfortunately out of the house. Lester is pretty much my back-up for love interest for generation seven. Live, Lester! Live!

When he comes home, he helps teach Darcy how to walk.

Of course, everyone is eager to spend time with the latest most adorable nooboo.

But Darcy isn't the only youngin' that has caught Samura's attention. She's also quite enamored with Doreen Nix.

Samura: "Psst, you're red like me! That's awesome!"

Samura would also like to boast about her amazing cooking prowess. Onion ring volcano trick, hee-yah!

In other news, Decker Cat died. Strangely enough, he had followed Gage over to the Rodgers household and died on their front porch!

Sadly, Shawnya turned out to be changeable in more ways than one.

She takes a moment to mack on Everette. Apparently, Shawnya agrees with some of our forum members that Percival ain't got nothing on baby-faced Everette!

It's strange, Shawnya doesn't have the flirty trait or anything! Well, the entire household was quite upset about the flirting, but fortunately it didn't seem to count as an actual "betrayal" or "cheating."

Ah, poor Percival; poor Marie! And there's little Darcy just rocking away, too young to understand.

Really, Shawnya? Right in front of his wife? Why didn't you just call in your husband to watch as well? Heck, invite in the paparazzi, why not?
Anyway, I think Percival is more attractive than ever with his nice new muscles! It is sooo appropriate for the Dojo Dynasty to have the Japanese cooking set, I'm incredibly jealous. At least I have my wood fire oven to comfort me.

Nope, it's really not. Shawnya gets my vote for worst dynasty spouse! Although, she did give me Darcy, so I guess I can't be too upset with her, can I?

Really, Shawnya? Right in front of his wife? Why didn't you just call in your husband to watch as well? Heck, invite in the paparazzi, why not?

I know, right! Not even subtle about it! *sigh* And Percival with his handsome new muscles? What is Shawnya thinking?
Well, you have your wood fire oven, I have my Japanese grill. To each his own! I'm a little jealous of the wood fire oven; I wish I could purchase it separately because I just don't need an extra world right now.

I SO wish that I had that Japanese oven for my Dynasty chef. I'll just have to enjoy it in yours!  :P

It is pretty awesome. Crazy would look superb lighting an onion ring volcano!

Samura looks amazing in front of the Japanese grill! Such a perfect fit for the Dojo family. And as for the flirting...sims will be sims? I guess...thankfully though that nobody got a reputation or anything.

Yeah, it really was like EA knew my dynasty needed it and decided to make it for me. I did think it was weird that it didn't affect reputation, yet Gwenyth asking someone to stay overnight did.

I've had more autonomous inappropriate flirting from Hopeless Romantic sims rather than Flirty ones. Odd, but there you have it.

You know, I wasn't sure if Hopeless Romantic could be the cause, because she did have that trait. I swapped it in a mid-life crisis though, just in case it would make a difference. Still, weird that a hopeless romantic wouldn't be faithful to their spouse!

Too Much Love

Darcy was a well behaved toddler. He didn't even fuss when Granny Gwenyth (gee, say that five times fast!) told him his time was up.

Gwenyth always throws up wishes to take the latest toddler for a ride on the spring rider. Usually no one else does, for some reason, but Gwenyth does so without fail.

Well, Darcy wasn't the only adorable nooboo. The Dojo household got its first gnomeboo!

He's (she's?) waving hello.

As for the beautiful but changeable Shawnya, she got a new hobby and a new job to keep her busy.

Fortune telling seemed like an apt career choice for a former genie!

It wasn't long before Darcy's child birthday rolled around. Gage takes him to the cake.

Gage sets Darcy down and takes a moment to boo over Marie's red glow. Family oriented sims do not approve!

Here's Darcy is after his child make-over:

He grew up a bit snobbish, but that seemed appropriate for a future nectar-maker or maybe equestrian.

Maybe that snob trait is why he spends so much time dressed up as a king?

Gwenyth and Darcy band together for a tone deaf rendition of some of the most popular songs simish has to offer. Shawnya claps and cheers anyway, that's a mother's love for you right there.

Unfortunately, despite a mid-life crisis swapping out "Hopeless Romantic" for "Friendly", Shawnya still has a little too much love to offer.

Shawnya: "Oh, honey, I could just eat . . . you . . . up!"

*facepalm*

You know, it's entirely possible she's talking about a departed loved one.  That is what that means, right?

In other news, Darcy's impish expression while he's holding court is absolutely adorable.  I hope he's juuuust a bit of trouble later!

Also, bless you for putting up with that red glow.  I find it beyond annoying how everyone in the house slowly (or quickly) begins to detest the person who does it, no matter how that person behaves toward them.  I like a happy household.  Sue me.

Haha, I wish that's all the dinner plate meant! I think Percival wishes so, too. You know, the red glow really hasn't been much of a trouble. It only bothers Gage, but for some reason, it's almost impossible for someone to not like Gage. Have you experienced this with Rosetta? Every time he says anything, it's like the everyone on the lot gets that Great Lecture moodlet. Everyone loves Gage. Maybe it's just that he's supermaxed charisma, but, yeah. He's the only one who takes issue with Marie and they somehow seem to still get along. Shawnya and the rest of the family however . . .

It Runs in the Family

Percival, rising sports star, had his adult birthday with a quiet family celebration.

It seems he earned yet another promotion at work.

Of course, maybe it helps that his aunt, Erica Wolff, is his boss. How is she his aunt? I have no idea, but that's what it says in his relationship panel. Man, my family tree has gotten so convoluted even I can't keep up with it! I think she married one of Marie's half-siblings.

Maybe it was just from watching his mother, but Darcy seems to have inherited a bit of knack for the flirting.

He's only a child, but he and Doreen Nix are already fast friends.

"Hi, I'm Darcy!" he says.

And then the next thing you know, they're best friends. Apparently a game of tag works wonders!

He even convinced her to let Gage solve her werewolf problem. Darcy just threw one of those charming grins her way, and she was begging to be turned back into a real, human girl.

Darcy: "I got a little something for you, . . . cutie!" *wink*

Darcy: "Pst, I have a secret. I, I kinda like you! You know, like like."

While Darcy works his boyish magic on Doreen, his mother Shawnya is sent out of the house for a swim.

No working your magic on people other than your husband missy! I'll keep you busy by sending you off the lot for a swim.

Although Shawnya is a gorgeous sim and her outfits were a lot of fun to make, she really is quite the troublemaker. If I don't keep her busy, she heads straight for Everette or Gage to do some flirting.

This shot is just to show how beautiful Moonlight Falls can be. I've come to love this somewhat gloomy town. There's a certain quality to the light at times that is quite lovely.

And moving on, Marie decides that Percival needs to learn martial arts.

Marie: "Go on you wuss! Don't just flop your arm at it! And you call yourself an athlete!"

Percival: "I . . . have . . . athletic skill! Not . . . martial arts skill!!"

Well, now he has some of both.

Darcy takes the time to befriend Rafeal Nix, Doreen's older brother.

And to play prince once last time, before waving good-bye to childhood.

Darcy: "Adieu! Adieu! Don't worry, ladies, I'll be right back!"

Before he ages up on his teen birthday.

Transformation complete, he just looks at the camera and shrugs as if to say, "Eh, it's okay, ladies. I know I'm gorgeous!"

Then he fussily smooths back one stray lock of blonde hair and scurries off to the mirror for a make-over.

I see that you already have a colorful spouse picked out for Darcy. Excellent strategy. I applaud your foresight in having a spare impregnate most of the town.

Shawnya really does have excellent taste in men. After all, she's only going for the guys in the Dojo Dynasty!
