Can't interact with kitten? (Fixed)

Hello all,

So I've just gotten my family a new kitten.  Now, whenever I try to get them to interact with it, the game crashes!

The only thing I can think of is I just installed the latest patch, but I wasn't expecting this, and this is my Dynasty, so I really don't want to restart.

Thoughts?

Edited:  Ok, so I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall, but it fixed it.
