Another random thought - ability to expand lot size up to 100x100 or more for some amount of money.
@Jancy, that would be very cool!

@TheChronicR that would also be great,  I would love to be able to purchase more lot area or the ability to expand our current lot.
Another thing I would love to see is different Frames for Paintings the Sims do. The same frame on all their paintings are so boring. I would love to be able to choose a different style frame and add my own color or pattern.

I think that we should have Beaches back, I used to love building proper Sea Side houses and then having my sims swimming all day and night and it was awesome.  :D

Yeah, sims need to be able to swim in oceans and ponds! That's usually the whole point of going to the beach!

I want lot sizes that make sense!  Really, EA?  Really?  A lot size 60x60 that has a building on it and NO lot that size you can place anywhere?  I get so tired of these off sizes when you want to place a building/lot somewhere and have to go with the next biggest lot, and then have the building look weird because it's in the middle of this huge, expanse or worse, has that caved in or built on a ledge look.  Consistency would be great, so if you're going to build a place that's 50 by 20, we should be able to either adjust our lots to that size or have that size lot available.  (that was a random, not real, selection of size)

And at the store, what's with doing the job half way?  If you're going to do something that invokes an era or a special time/place, (Mardi Gras things forinstance and Roaring Twenties), do it up proud and do it all.  Make it separate sets if you must, like the ones for the fairies, (which also needs more stuff), but do it right and give us the whole shebang.  In the twenties stuff the guys get a vintage bathing suit but not the gals.  What's up with that?  But then, the guys don't get really cool, authentic to the era, daily wear.
Better yet, make SP's that are like that.  Yes!  OL is fine but how about era/special times SPs?  A Winter Holiday Sp complete with snow, (I hated Seasons for the most part but really didn't give it much of a chance), A Mardi Gras sp complete with wild costumes and New Orleans type houses, a Fairyland SP,  O!M!G!, a Lord of the Rings type SP!
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

I completely agree that we need swimable beaches.
They were so cool!

If the next ep is Seasons: what about a gardeners' club (like the book club, that's available only through Bookworm trait) which would send you like 10 random (even special ones) seeds by mail each week? Of course, for a one-time membership fee of 250$ or less. Thoughts?
That would be great! I loved the Gardening Club in the Sims 2.
And getting random seeds via mail would be a real suprise each time.

Awww! Someone likes toddlers  ;) And yeah, some things make no sense. If you had commitment issues, wouldn't you be happy about breaking up with your girlfriend or wife?

Personally, add pets and get rid of the glitches, and I would be happy. Oh, and University and Seasons expansion packs would be good. I still love TS2.

Me too, Simstar. It was a great way to keep track of a particular sim's life.

Me too! I really loved reading through them when the sim becomes an elder and has lived an interesting life... It kind of creates a biography of the sim, is he/she a terrible cook or always in a fight. Ha ha, that was so cool in TS2 :)

My favourite thing in Sims 2 was the Body Shop! Why can't we have it back? I always feel limited in my eye colours or skin tones, I used to love making shiny eyes!

You can make shiny [weird] eyes in Sims 3 if you want to.

Naga, won't it be a CC? I've never noticed something like eye shining controller in the Sims 3.

Well, in CAS, when setting the eye color, you can just make it a lighter color. If your graphics (not sure if texture, lighting or sim details) are high enough, it should look shinier. Now, if by "shiny eyes" you meant glowy eyes, like ghostly or something, then I have no idea.

An idea has just popped in my mind (tell me if I'm wrong) but is it possible for your sims to like choose the clother they wear randomly? And I don't mean the insane trait, but like every time they change they would choose one set of clothes from the ones you've created. That would be really cool...

Like in the same group (Everyday, Formal, etc)?
That would be cool. And highly realistic ;)

Yeah, exactly. Like switch between 3 created outfits in the everyday category. And I really think that this isn't that impossible to do for developers, it's a really simple but nice thing.

Buying clothes at a store downtown.
It gives girls and woman a really cool moodlet when raiding cloth stores, but it provides the man (who must come with the girls) a huge minus moodlet. :P
How's that for being extremely realistic? ;)

Leto, that would be cool! Especially the moodlet system. I would like if EA added Open for Business type stores, and not only NPC's but your sims could do shopping in stores belonging to townies. I don't like rabbit-holes and I don't want to see them in Sims 4.

Haha, it sure would be!

Another idea that popped in my head was this: why don't they randomize the names like they do for gnomes, for example. That would save us (the players) loads of trouble when thinking of a name! It's one of the biggest torture for me, since I've been playing the Sims games since 2002. I've just ran out of them and have to find some interesting ones online.

And they could leave a txt file somewhere, in which you could put your own names. Or maybe the game would just remember the names that has been used before. That would be cool

Do you think there should be a stage between babies and toddlers?
« Reply #474 on: February 14, 2011, 02:48:55 AM »
I personally do. I think it should be called "infants" and they should have the appearnce of Sims 2 babies. They should have the same amount of free will and required care as sims 3 toddlers (only they don't potty train just yet, but have the same free will and require fair care from parents) but have them get out of their own cribs after a certian point (if they're not tired or get lonely, they'll scream and cry the same way, and if a child or older doesn't let the child out after 15 minutes, the infant will crawl out themselves) the babies should be the same as they do now, only they should be allowed to be rocked and fed while the older sim is sitting down, be carried in baskets prams or strollers, instead of older sims carrying them in his/her arms, and even let the child hold his/her baby sibling when sitting down and be called "newborns" "Infants" should have the same interactions as toddlers do now with children (play peek-a-boo, hug, feed on floor), be able to go to lots in strollers (even let the child push babies in strollers and/or prams) and play with toys like toddlers. Toddlers should have more interactions and independence, they should use the potty chair (like now), walk to lots with a child or older (with their hand held), friendly and mean interactions with their peers, and older siblings (child or older), eat solid foods (in smaller portions) sleep in beds (they need toddler beds avalible) still require a babysitter (babysitters should be both teens and elders, teens on nights and weekends, elders during the weekdays, since teens are in school) but are able to stay home alone with and visit lots with children.
