Zombies
« on: April 21, 2013, 09:18:07 PM »
I suppose this thread could be our Zombie thread.
I have a question, How do you make an active sim a zombie without being a Witch or have any Elixir skill? I've left many a sim outside in the full moon, hoping to be zombified, but it never seems to work!

Someone might have better suggestions, but you don't need alchemy skills to buy out the elixir consignment store -- probably just spending a few hours there and "flipping it" might work. There's zombification and the potent form - the weaker one only lasts for 6 hours or so I believe, and the other one, you'll need a potent cure elixir or a sunlight charm to fix (maybe just a cure one would work too?)

Oh, I do love you have a consideration for a zombie, Squirt. It seems Nadia will have a lot of friends now :3
And from all of them, there must be one who will be Nadia's true love :P

Okay then, back to topic.  If my memory serve me right. It's seem a store content called Malleable Voodoo Doll can make Sim into Zombified state for a little while. I ever tried this in my failed legacy attempt :)

I read on the Official Forum thread that having a sim eat frozen brains (one of the Quick Meal options on the fridge) about 7 times would turn that sim into a zombie.

I've found that those flower-that-shoot-zombies things actually seem to make a sim approach it and turn them into a zombie just so it can shoot them and cure them.  ???

Also if you have no problem with it, you can change supernatural status with some mods I believe.

I had one of my sims get bitten by a zombie, not by my doing, but it was strange.  There was a message he was going to check out a peeping tom and it was a zombie outside the window.  Next thing I know, the zombie bit him and my sim became one, only until morning, but that has only happened to me twice.  Usually the sim makes fun of the zombie and walks off.  I suppose it is random that they get bitten by the zombie. :)

This happened to one of my sims too! He approached the flower, became zombified, passed out after being shot by the flower and woke up like nothing happened. Never mind that there were actual zombies on the lot eating their actual plants, or the very same flower ended up getting eaten by another zombie not long after that.  ::)

installed supernatural and experienced my first zombie attack.
My sim thought one of them was cute-- so it raises the question, if I level up a witch, can I cure the randomly spawned zombies and then socialize with them properly, even adding them to the household?

Indeed, the random spawned zombies are regular sims transformed by the full moon. The next morning they will be normal again.

... but yes, you can use sun spell and heal them.

Yes, they can.  They walk right up to them and eat them just like a garden plant.

If you use the reanimation ritual on a dead sim (their grave) and then use the potent cure elxir, do they stay alive or do they just end up dieing again?

They turn into a normal sim - a "homeless townie" available to fill jobs and so forth.

If you have the Reanimation Ritual, you don't need Potent Cure Elixir, as you'll also have Sunlight Charm which works to cure a Zombie the same as the elixir would. I took one of my sims to the graveyard and raised all the 'named' dead, then cured them via sunlight charm. If it says "Remains", it won't work. You need graves with the Sim's name on it. You could also just 'manage the dead' in the mausoleum, and then put down whichever dead Sims graves you want to raise/cure.
