I've just read the whole story, love it, love the humour and love the fact that Connor's genes are lasting quite well through the generations. xx

I love your story! Connor is one of my favorite townies in Sunset Valley, so I'm happy to see him in a dynasty. I'm also in agreement with McHazy; it's great to see the trademark Frio hair and genes lasting. I look forward to reading more.  :)

It's been a while! I'm sorry, you're really going to forgive me if you're still following this, because 2014 seems to be a busy, busy, busy year for me already!

After picking up where I left off and remembering what exactly what was going on, the Frio household is doing fine. Ivory is a sweet little angel to everything except her dolls.

Like any toddler, she's been crying...

Eating...

Sleeping...

Learning...

And charming the lollipops off of everyone she meets!

We can be thankful for her quick-learning, because due to Leo and Ivory's closeness in age, there'd soon be two toddlers in the house.
There was a small gathering at home around a birthday cake to celebrate, and Leo aged up into a toddler with Lucinda's blonde hair and blue eyes from somewhere else.

His favorite color is hot pink, so I worked with that a little in his wardrobe without it being too feminine. I'm having trouble coming up with male outfits. Hopefully my creativity will come back. But he is just a toddler, so maybe I'll be able to come up with more when he's a child.

Now Leo finally gets to play with that mysterious doll he got. He named it Lulu! He loves it, along with his block-in-hole set.

Leo also likes to play dolls with his sister. They get along well, babbling as they play.

Even through all of this child-rearing, Lucinda and Jersey have time for each other, too. However, they've agreed on no more nooboos... At least for now.

In an OOF (out-of-Frio) update, I saw Shanta at the library! She had her toddler son, Johnathan, with her.

That's all for now! I'll be back with more as soon as possible. :)

Hi everyone, long time no see! Again, apologies. It's tough to make time to work on Sims stories and really get in the groove of it with college and such to worry about. I had to remember where I was with this story! Anyway, here we are at Ivory's birthday from toddler to child. I had her party
before I stopped playing for a few months and didn't make a post for it (oops), so I kind of forgot a bit about that, but I'm gonna try to work myself back into the story. :)

So, right, Ivory's birthday! It was rather uneventful, mostly with just some family over. We had over Casillas family, consisting of elder Sheena Casillas and her teenage daughter Whitney, Pogo, Archer, and some of their families.

Here you can see Archer's daughter, Molly, who's already a teenager. That sure went fast. So far she's excitable, a schmoozer, friendly, but also a coward. She looks like she's got a bit of that teenage-moodiness here. Probably wondering why she HAD to come to her little cousin's birthday party.

While I don't have a photo of him, Archer's son, Jonathan also showed up. He's artistic, hates the outdoors, and oddly enough, is also a coward. He stayed inside and played with Ivory and Leo's dollhouse for most of the party.

Finally, we have the birthday girl herself, with her mother and the Casillas' dancing in the back with the magic windows that hide all indoor furniture.

She blew out the candles (with mom's help), made a wish...

And grew into a cute young girl. She held her cross-eyes for a while, just like grandpa Lyric. :')

And I believe we'll end off here with Ivory's birthday for a rather short chapter, so as not to overload one part. Here's Ivory's new outfits!

The night after Ivory's party, she slept in the guest room, as her bedroom wasn't finished and I wasn't feeling the motivation to start organizing things to put a bed in. But it's okay, because Lucinda read to her daughter and reminded her that she'd have school the next day.

And indeed, the next morning Ivory was up early to get ready for her first day of school. Lucinda and Jersey woke early to support her, and Lucinda prepared a fresh breakfast of waffles for the family.

And soon enough, after hugging her parents goodbye...

Ivory left for her first day of school. She felt a little cheated on the part about the "big yellow limousine" that would take her there.

While Ivory was out, Lucinda worked on her "Fertilizer Flinger"-worthy garden. Jersey, uh, "helped".

And at 3 pm, Ivory was let out of school, somewhat satisfied, but drained. She went home with her cousin, Johnathan.

There I was proven correct about Molly's teenage hormones as she picked an argument with her family-oriented, nurturing mother, Shanta, and called her dumb.

Luckily for them both, Ivory caused a diversion by asking for help with her first day's homework, and Molly was compliant.

And later than planned that evening, Ivory went back home, nearly missing curfew and eating a quick apple for dinner before going to bed in her newly designed room, photo taken crappily at night with lights off. I'll try to get some new ones, if anyone's actually interested.

Until next time :)

Thank you! I ended up not reading this until I moved along a little and changed her room, so I didn't get more than one viewpoint of the room, but I did get a lit shot.

There wasn't much else in there besides a large wardrobe, so thankfully nothing important was lost.

The next few days with Ivory were a little uneventful with most of every day spent at school.

With her new age, Ivory decided that she is too old for teddy bears and will not play with them any longer.......but she will keep hers with her for that nice moodlet at bedtime.

And along with Ivory growing up, Leo has been making progress. He easily reached level three in his pegbox skill and quickly picked up the skills of walking, talking, and using the potty. Three days after Ivory's birthday, it's time for Leo to age up.

To go with his initial traits of "Genius" and "Good", Leo's great toddlerhood allowed him to pick up the "Lucky" trait. Here's the outfits I picked for him, along with his bedroom set-up:

Leo didn't have a birthday party, just a cake with the household. The next day was SUPPOSED to be Leisure Day, so the next morning, the kids got to wake up a little later and Jersey started calling up some friends for a super awesome pool party.

However, either I misunderstood the red circled Thursday on my Sims' work and school schedules or the game derped, and the school bus came to pick up the rushing kids for school.

Oh well. At least Lucinda and Jersey still got to party. With both kids in school, it's nice to have some grown-up time. And the party turned out great!

Leo and Ivory came home pretty peeved that their parents threw a party while they were gone. They were even more peeved that they had to do their homework before they could join the merriment, and without their parents' help. I'm sorry, guys!! I honestly thought it was Leisure Day!

Unfortunately, the kids took too long with their homework to get a chance to really party, but they did get to have the tofu dogs Lucinda made, right off the grill, and then it was off to bed with them.

Well, if it makes the kids feel any better, the next day was Friday, which means they'd have the weekend to relax. Also, that Friday was not spent by the parents partying, but working.

Yes, even Jersey.

And after school, Leo got the chance to go home with cousin Jonathan to the 2nd generation house, where he spent hours playing with Jonathan and his doll, Lulu, without ever being served lunch or dinner. Good thing he always has some fruit to carry around as snacks with all of the produce Lucinda gathers.

On the other hand, Ivory went directly home to paint, and gave her work of art to her father.

He proudly hung it up in his room, right next to his and Lucinda's bed. It doesn't match the orange-toned room, but who care about that when your daughter is an artist?

Now, without a nice place conclude this part of the story without over-extending it, let's end with this picture of Jersey and one of his nephews "gossiping". I think they're plotting something.

That was at the false-Leisure Day pool party. Both Pogo and Archer's sons wore muscle-man shirts to the pool.

A week of time-consuming elementary school homework has passed, and it's Ivory's birthday! It seems like it's somebody's birthday every day in this story. But it's the heiress' birthday, so what do we do? Well, first we have hot pancakes right off the stove, because it's a Sunday and nobody has to rush off to school.

Then it's party time.

Of course, all the family showed up. Here we see Pogo and Shanta (Archer's wife) slow-dancing. Awkward........

...And with Archer and Jonathan right nearby! It also looks like the stress of his Mayor position is getting to Archer. Poor guy. ( and yeah, his hair went stubborn when he grew into an adult. Yeah, aging issues again. Still working out how to keep things accurate with Archer younger than Jersey without any rule breaking, while still being able to make Jersey younger after Ivory's birth. ...Well now it's too late anyway, just saying :P )

Yeah, all of the family kids except Leo (meaning Molly, Jonathan, Kelley, and soon, Ivory) are going to be teens now. That oughta be fun. Here's Kelley, now in a different life stage than his buddy, Leo.

Time to blow out those candles!

Oh, wait, not quite......

There we go! Much better! :)

And so now-teenage Ivory ate birthday cake with her cousins, Jonathan and Kelley.

And surely, no child to teenager transition is complete without a visit from the university mascot! Sorry, Llama. You're not recruiting this one.

And here we have Ivory's new look!

Off to her first high school classes Ivory went the next morning, after first making a prank call to Pogo.

And of course, home she came that afternoon with homework. It almost felt like more than usual. Silly Ivory, don't you know to never prank-call your father's imaginary friend when he's the principal of your school?

And to end this chapter, here's Ivory's more-mature room set-up (before I changed the door after realizing it was never changed to work with the room).

I forgot that teens could make prank calls. Thanks for the reminder! Ivory's new room looks nice too.

Hey, just wanted to say thank you for all the comments and attention to my story :)
I've been thinking about my story-telling style, one that seems to become a little bland to me at points. Not the challenge itself, but my way of telling the story. I've been trying to think of how I could liven things up for both myself and the readers, but I'm not entirely sure how. I'm thinking about maybe telling the story from the point of view of the characters, rotating who is telling the story at different points. I'm not sure what to do. I'd like to think tht creativity is my strong point, but honestly sometimes it feels like it isn't.

Anyway, the point is, I'm trying to improve. If anyone has criticism, or tips of how I could make this story better, I'd be thrilled to hear it! Thank you!

I think your style is very good, but I also feel you'd do a great job telling the story from the characters PoV, that is always a bit more interesting, whatever you decide, I'll still read the story :D
Ivory is stunning, btw. ;)
