This is a little off topic, but does anyone else feel 'flattered' when you complete a house, and before you can get your active sim moved in, the house has been occupied by townies?

Yes, I take it as a compliment! I just built an amazing house! Ok, I will now yell at myself: "Esther, get back on topic Please!"  ;D  :D

Pam, didn't you lose a big generation family?  Makes you wonder how far a person could go, possibilities are endless.  I know this is drifting off topic, but it was just interesting.

Yes, I lost a 13 generation Legacy family.  It was mostly my own choice, though, because I didn't bother saving them before doing a reinstall.  I don't know what I was thinking.

I moved my family to Twinbrook, and Sam met a babysitter in school named Able Bodey.  :D

Tolling,

Is his middle name "Sailor?" (all able-bodied hands, ON DECK!)

I really appreciate the humor of the game designers. I've got a very dry sense of humor and I rarely name my Sims normal names. The new names in Twinbrook gave me a real chuckle. Just a few of the names my Sims have been christened with are, Del Linkquint, Mae and Will Dye, Max Power and Ima Looney, just to name a few.

Nope, and I spelled Abel wrong.  ;) Still, he's a cutie, I really like his design. Very dark skin, but whitish blonde hair with red streaks and a punk rocker shirt with dog collar. Helga, my punk rocker who married Leighton, would love to meet him.

Hey, Amok, have you tried Ima and Hesa Pigg? Ima Pigg was actually a important part of Texas history...Though I don't remember why. I know she has a bit of a fan base though. What do other people name their sims, I'm just curious?

Been playing for hours now, but I decided to pop in here for a quick break. I've made 65-75 Sims (most are in My Studio under Sims and the others are still in CAS) but I've done very few unusual, at least to me, names. For the Wishmaster challenge, I made each couple's last name relate to the word random: Chance and Vagary. The second one I had to hunt for. One of my Randoms is named Rochelle, which I keep thinking is a candy I've seen an ad for on TV way too many times. The other unusual ones were a gray bald guy named Grey Mann and a klepto with an LTW to be a Master Thief named Faith Amie, which if you rearrange the letters produces 'I'm a thief'.  :D Oh yeah, I just remembered the family I started out with had the father's name as Marcus Twain.

Off to try to squeeze another half hour in, at least!

She didn't start out that way but Ima Looney married Harry Hogg.

I thought it had to do with her father naming her Ima, and his last name being Pigg...I guess I read wrong, though.

I just read the latest. I like reading people's stories.  ;D Anyway, I do unusual names as well. I try to think from the perspective of the characters I'm playing. So, for Leighton Sekemoto and his wife Helga, I went with Isamu, Vincent, and Yumi and Yuki for the twin girls, since I figured Yumi was going to die soon. I thought from Leighton's perspective, and he probably would have named Vincent and Yumi. Helga would be attracted to his heritage, and name Isamu and Yuki.
