Please forgive double post.

Question:  While your immortal can't travel till gen 2 is a YA, can the other, mortal household members travel if they are not going with the immortals?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

No traveling whatsoever until Gen. 2 is a young adult.

In my dynasty, I'm currently getting Error Code 12 when I try to save it. I've tried save as and just regular saving, but it hasn't worked. Should I turn the game off and go back to the last useable save?

Edit: Another and totally unrelated question, is photography manageable as a supermax skill?

Sorry about your game, I'm afraid its lost.  Yes you can go back to your last useable save, hopefully you save often and won't lose too much progress.

Photography is manageable but takes a lot of micromanaging on your part.  I find that shutternut is probably the hardest out of all to finish, depending on how many expansion packs you have, might be difficult to complete this one.

Okay, thanks! I do save a lot, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Sorry if these have already been asked, but there are simply too many pages to go through.

Do the portraits/sculptures/photographs of the immortals need to be in the museum at the time they age up?

And if not, could one then have a painter or sculptor start a multitude of these before they age up and then choose the most expensive one to use once they've all been completed?

Also, would I be correct in thinking that I could bring a witch into the household as a spouse to obtain a witch heir or use an elixir to turn one in to a witch and use magic as the heir's supermax skill?

The museum pieces need to be finished by the time the immortal in question ages up.

And you can bring a witch into the household in any way you see fit. However, magic is not an eligible supermax skill (no skill challenges, and it's technically a hidden skill because it doesn't show up in the "Skills" tab).

Okay, thanks!

Also, another question:

Do the things that fulfill the requirements have to be chosen at the time the immortal eats ambrosia? Or can they be chosen later, as long as they still fulfill those requirements?

For example: Immortal 1 obtains LTW's A, B, C, and D. I think I want to go with A, B, and C for those requirements but am not sure. This immortal eats ambrosia, but after getting these four wishes. Later on, I want Immortal 2 to also have C. Could I then count A, B, and D as immortal 1's requirements despite not being what I had originally chosen, given they remain unique throughout the entire dynasty?

Requirements have to be decided upon before they eat ambrosia.

Is it ok to adopt a child/teen with the intention it will be an heirs spouse?

Yep. Just remember that the adult adopting the child has to be unrelated to the heir in question so that the adopted kid isn't seen as a relative (the game considers adoptees as related as blood relatives).

Another bullet dodged thanks to Trip!  I was going to have the heir's mom adopt!  Guess not, now.  Thanks, Trip.

Once you select one of the choices for your required lot and begin play you can never move again. Private lots can be purchased but the family may never move there.  All Immortal Dynasty players need to begin their game with $1800.  If you have WA and UL installed, you will receive a camera in your inventory.  If you have ITF installed, you will receive a time portal in your lot.  Players must choose to either sell the camera and time portal or keep it forever (never ever sell).  If you sell it, do it before the next step.  If you have more than $1800 after purchasing your lot or selling a camera , then temporarily use the family funds cheat to bring starting funds down to $1800. Here's all you do:

Press Command-Shift-C to open to cheats panel (screen will gray)
Type testingcheatsenabled true, then Return/Enter
Type familyfunds [Nameofhousehold] [1800], then Return/Enter
Type testingcheatsenabled false, then Return/Enter
  • Riverview —  345 Riverblossom Hills Dr.

This is something I've been meaning to ask for a while now.

There is a second lot in Riverview that is 60 x 60. This is at 467 Farmer Valley Road, which is filled by a Pets lot if Pets is installed (the Equestrian Center, I believe).

Is there any reason why this lot can't be used as the Dynasty lot in Riverview rather than 345 Riverblossom Hills Drive? Both lots are 60 x 60 and we have to remove the Equestrian Center from the only suitable Legacy Lot in Sunset Valley if we have Pets installed. In other towns where the value of the lot will reduce your available simeloans to more than the allowed 1800, we have to use the above cheat to reduce the amount of starting simeloans to 1800.

Thank you for your consideration.

I do not know why 467 Farmer Valley Road is not included in the Riverview list.  Anybody know if there is a specific reason we can't use that lot?

Is it originally a community lot before something gets autoplaced on it? That's all I can think of.
