I was not too thrilled with the lastest stuff pack and I agree it is more for the guys but that is okay too.  This is the first one that I regret buying though.  I am happy that we can get the scooter now instead of having to go to France for it.  I love the scooter for my poorer Sims.  There is a nice floor lamp that I like.

Didja know there's a code called buydebug? It lets you get things for your sims you can't get otherwise, like fish spawners, foreign location items, and tomb items. There's a entire list in the guide area, and it'll tell you instructions.

Yes, I know about buydebug.  I try not to cheat, I really do.  LOL  Every so often I get tired of poor Sims and go out all and use buydebug and freeRealEstate.

Yeah I guess the cars are pretty cool - I installed my FL on thursday. But yeah, my family hasn't got the dough for all those cars, just a couple. And I wish the motorbikes would fit on the bike stands, instead of having to use up all the space for a car space.

Also using this post to check my avatar still works...

EDIT: yup it works :)

I'll probably wait and get FL and LN together. I just recently got HELS and it worked without having to uninstall Ambitions. I'm not sure if I want FL though if it's mostly cars! I mostly teleport them everywhere so cars are just to blow up lol.

Having spent two $40 chunks of cash on Store items just before this, I'm not getting Fast Lane right away. It didn't tempt me much...until I saw a truck with flame decals in my town! Now I want one! Seriously, EA has us in their firm little fists when they can advertise stuff packs by giving them to the Joneses!

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to buying Sims stuff, and my darling husband has said I may have Fast Lane AND an allowance for the Sims store this pay check so I'm stoked.  He gets it for me tomorrow.  Since I was raised alongside of an uncle who detailed and painted fast cars, and always gave me the first ride in them when he was done, I'm definitely into car stuff.  Oh, what he could do with a Trans Am!
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Are there free Store Points with this Stuff Pack? I didn't notice any mention of it when I looked at it in the shops today (cheapest I've seen it in 'the real world' is £9.99, if anyone in the UK is interested).
I think I'm going to buy it, I've seen it online for £6.30 with additional P&P for £1.99. The new hairstyles and clothes look nice judging from the box art, and I think it'll encourage me to actually build a garage for Sim cars instead of jus plopping them down on tarmac ^^

There are no Store Points with this SP. I would've been surprised if there were. I don't know what the exchange rate is, but it looks cheaper where you are. Truthfully, though this is without being able to afford any of the nicer cars yet, I don't think this one was worth $19.99 (plus state sales tax.) If they're going to offer Buccaneer's Bay from the Store, this seems like something they could've offered from there, as well. Since I haven't had the chance to explore it fully, I won't say I wish I hadn't purchased it, but I feel lukewarm about it so far.

Seriously?  I'm really surprised that an item from a stuff pack would appear in your game if you don't own the pack.  Of course, I've bought everything for Sims 3 the moment it was released, so I really don't know what they do with the game without the packs.  Was it this truck (except not in pink, of course)?

I don't remember the style, just the flames, which I'd never seen before the recent patch. It's like when WA was installed, Sunset Valley became overrun with foreign visitors. Another way for EA to advertise.

Thank you for answering my question about store points :)
In physical shops over here Fast Lane is between £9.99-£10.99, I just decided to have a look online and was pleasantly surprised at how much I could save, so I've ordered it today. Truthfully, I think this is more about completism and the fact that I'm not asking anyone to buy it for me as a present. I'm hoping I'll get into the habit of building garages, since I don't tend to at the moment.
