I don't remember my first ever Sim family but I remember creating my family back before I was married and creating my husband and trying to get things together for us in the Sims. Hehe! Fun times. This was like 9 years ago or so. I don't remember if it was Sims 1 or Sims 2. Honestly I don't remember Sims 1 at all really but I do remember Sims 2 of course. I don't even remember my first Sim on the Sims 3 hehe. I have a horrible memory I only remember my first Ambitions Sims. It was the hyphenated family I don't remember what their names are but they are a divorced couple that hate each other but live together with their daughter I think her name is Jenni and she is pregnant by Goodwin (I believe that is his name). That is all I remember.

My first Sim on the Sims 3 was Tess Tee.  I made her as big as you could weight wise and wimpy.  I never played the Sims 2 but I was still playing Sims 1.  So the CAS was just an awesome experience.  I played Tess for like 80 something Sim weeks, then switched households and made her a friend.  I threw a party the day she was going to die in hope she would die at the party.  She did die at the party!  That was my only Sim I have ever let die.  RIP Tess Tee

My first Sims family ever was my family in sims 2. It was at my aunts house and we had all the expansions at that time so i was so confused. But once I bought it back home it was easy as pie. Now i have about a million families on sims 3. :D

My first family was a CAS, on sims 3, the O'Malleys. Ronald and Emma, and their children Veronica and Katrina. This was before I knew about cheats, so they lived honestly. I loved them, but due to a saving error, the game got deleted. I actually cried when I found out... There's a saved copy of them in the family bin, from right when I made them. It does that automatically. I've considered bringing them back, but they'd have lost everything... their relationships, their skills, their new family members, their house, their jobs... Such a sad tale. :(

My first family was Ginger Greenly in Sims 3.  She lived in that house in Sunset Valley that's cheap.  I think it's called Pre-Fab.  She was a scientist and rode a bicycle.  Her lifetime wish was to have a perfect garden, but she didn't get it because I didn't understand about gardening.  She was single a long time and had a hard time finding a man who liked her.  She finally met a guy named Jeff, who I now know came from a family who moved to town.  She had one opportunity to try for a baby, but I didn't do it because I was going to wait until she was married.  She had her wedding to Jeff on her birthday.  What I didn't know was that she was aging to Elder and wouldn't be able to have kids!  She moved into Jeff's house with his parents.  It was the Americana house and seemed so big and nice compared to where she was living.  When she died, Jeff married the child or grandchild of Claire Ursine.  I just know her last name was Ursine and she lived in that house on the beach with her newborn baby.  Jeff raised the baby and they had two more of their own.  It went on for awhile from there, for another generation or so.  I eventually lost the save file when I had to reinstall the game.

I like reading of all these stories of the first sims.  :) What about games that meant a lot to you?

Since I have played only one family , going through 14 generations till now  ;D Therefor I have nothing to compare or say which means more to me. But there are some generations that I really won't forget. Like this Sim who married Mortimer and moved to his house, I had no idea by then that his house was haunted, ghosts kept showing up at night, moving all around the house , sleeping in the beds ... etc. And because I wasn't familiar with ghosts yet, I thought they may kill or harm my Sims  :D so I made them move out.

I made a Brandi Broke when I got the Sims3.  I tried the whole scenerio like in sims2, it just didn't work out.  So that is when Brandi flirted with Grady Elfman.  Since that time of course they had kids and Brandi and Grady have passed and she was my Rock Star that made it to 500 compositions and was making a killing playing for tips.  I now have the family cemetary next door and the family is getting bigger and thriving.  I play them when I don't have alot of time to spend playing, because when I play my dynasty, I have to have most of the day to play, not just a couple of hours.  So that one is my most favorite family.  Their house is huge and I love playing with them.

It's really quite impressive that you've gotten to 14 generations with one family.  I think I held the previous record with 13 generations.  Good job on taking care of those Sims!  :)

I spent, what seemed like years, playing the Pleasant family in the Sims 1. I bet I would have got through at least seven generations if they had aged up.
I do recall dressing my family in roman clothing but I can't remember which Sims that was.

Sims 3, and my first family was John and Kaylynn Allen  : )

After some bad starts that were about learning the game and trying different jobs, (and making my very first sim lose bladder control at home :/ )  I picked the criminal career at that point to try it.

Made it to the top, and also maxed cooking.  I would hack on days off and realized, wow he’s a work-aholic who will die alone, but I felt comfortable enough with the game now, and had achieved the LTW, and actually had decent money, so I dropped hacking every day and tried socializing.  The Sim was named John Allen.  The game was not on normal aging, definitely very long life span forgot what the settings were then.

So John went ‘wife-hunting’.  Kaylynn Langerak was a young adult at that point in the game and was walking by the house so he ran out and met her. So I definitely have some weird nostalgic attachment to that townie, and have ‘re-married’ her a few times in later games.  She was artistic, perfectionist, neat, AND evil- a good match. Don’t remember the last trait.  But she became a painter and I was amazed at the money that brought in.  I had built a house for the first time, and expanded it several times.

They had a son, who grew up moved into ‘The Commorant’ and joined the Culinary career. He married Sandi French, who was a slob, excitable, and wanted to be an astronaut.  I thought it would be a good idea to invite the parents and the in-laws over for a party so they could meet and my 2 sims could meet their parents in law.  They invited other people as well, from work and so on.

During the party Molly French dies and Grim shows up (first time I had seen him in the game).  I wish I had filmed how that all came together.  John and Kaylynn, being evil were delighted about the tragedy and were laughing maniacally, Sandi was wailing, River was there as well and she was crying.  It was an amazing debacle and a great sim moment.

The second generation lost contact with John and Kaylynn for a good long while after that.  One night, my 2nd gen sim was sleeping and gets woken up, and I got something that was almost a cut-scene of John and Kaylyn getting robbed of every single item in their home.  I’ve never seen that again since.

I played Bob & Betty Newbie, of course.  But I stopped playing them after the tutorial ended.  Then I moved onto making my own families, and I specifically remember spending a lot of time living in that house that was U shaped with the pool in the middle.  I also downloaded a ton of CC and I had these really cool fairie outfits and I made this family of fairys that were sisters and they lived outside hidden behind a bunch of trees and bushes, like they were living in secret from the rest of the neighborhood. lol

I also remember that you could only have 1 neighborhood going, and at the time I would play on my boyfriend's computer.  And his brother would play the same neighborhood, except his goal was always to convince my family members to move in with my family!  So every time I'd log on I'd be like, "Huh, I wonder where so and so went?"  And then I'd hear him snickering in the background!   :D

When I played Sims 1 for the first time I didn’t find the Newbie family very interesting so I went directly for the family with a graveyard on their lot. I continued playing the Goth family as a test family for every new expansion so after having played Making magic Mortimer was a mad scientist and Bella a superstar. Cassandra became an adult with magic and they had a black cat, a dragon and a second child I actually named Alexander before Sims 2 came out.

Like many others, my first Sims1 family was the tutorial Newbies. I still remember some of the wallpaper patterns they had. lol.

My first family in TS3 was a CAS creation named Claire Cassidy who married Christopher Steel and on their first try for a baby ended up having a set of triplet girls (with no cheats or hints or anything - completely random). I was SO overwhelmed with trying to learn the new game and having three babies. I couldn't get the timing right to take care of them, and it felt like a constant loop of feeding and changing them. I remember a lot of crying babies! In the interest of exploring other parts of the game, I started a new town before they even aged up, and sadly have never managed an authentic set of triplets ever since. Figures, right?
