@Caterina: It's not explicitly outlined in the rules, but yeah, the implication is that they must be alive. Or else this line wouldn't be here:

Quote
6. Have six Good Friends at the time of eating Ambrosia for the first time. Other Heirs can share these Good Friends except one needs to be a unique B.F.F (ask to be Best Friends). This B.F.F cannot be a Good Friend or B.F.F to any other Heir. Don’t worry if friendships deteriorate after Ambrosia has been eaten. Please make your best efforts to have your six Good Friends outside the household. This may be impossible later in your Dynasty if much of the town has died.

I've got two attempts going right now with a similar bug.  In one, the now YA heir has a boyfriend that has been a teen since she was a child, and in the other I have am elder in my household who, despite saying he is 92 days old, the bar is not filling in.

In the first, I was wondering if it would be okay to age up the teen, since he has stopped aging entirely.  In the other, I'm not sure what to do, my second gen is only a child, but it seems cheatsy to have a sim that won't age in my household.

I just finished reading this whole thread and I have one question.

It said several dozen pages ago that we could use teddy bears as friends. Are we allowed to use different types of stuffed animals and count them as different friends, or can you only use one type per heir?

@Ravencloud999: I wasn't able to find anything that said you can't use multiple stuffed animals. You have to still work to build and maintain friendships with them like with any human.

Though if anyone can find a contradicting post, put it here.

@Trip @MarianT @ratchie @Metropolis Man

I am seeing a lot of custom traits out there. Would those be considered as a mod? Would they be something we could use? Just inquiring.

Thanks Shannon

@sdhoey: Custom traits are mods, in that they do alter gameplay/how a sim acts. So no.

Does my child aged heir auto-taking a sick day count as missing school?

No. If the game forces that on you, then there's not much you can do about it. You're still okay.

Thanks for the fast response.  Since parenthood is coming out in a few hours, I've decided to restart anyways, but I've had that crop up a few times so its good to know I'm safe if(when) it happens again.

For the extra museum items, do you get one item each for getting an "A" in grade school, getting an "A" in high school, and maxing all of the toddler skills?

If you don't max the toddler skills but you get "A"s, do you get 2 extra items?

Or is it all three or nothing?

You don't break it up -- there's no stipulation in the rules for that. You get to contribute the extra items if you complete all requirements.
