Mandarin Citrus - Part 1

Mandarin moved to Sunset Valley to lay deep roots. To help her on her journey, she visited another recent arrival, Christopher Steel, and asked him to become a Citrus;

Happy to report that the Citrus family (and Aggie) survived the move to a new computer and are flowering beautifully.

Will add to the story soon, just didn't want to get too far along with posting if there was going to be issues with transferring the saved game file over

Thanks Shannon  :)

Mandarin Citrus - Part 2
With her 20th type of fish caught (a Jellyfish, I do believe) Mandarin became an Amateur Ichthyologist. Soon after, a 13th type of perfect fish was caught between herself and Christopher and Mr and Mrs Citrus presented a perfect private aquarium to the good folk of Sunset Valley. With her points, Mandarin purchased herself a motive mobile. She also noticed she was putting on weight and began to fish in a most unflattering gown.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
She also waddled through the house.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Mandarin went for a drive to a local fishing pond to get closer to her needed 350 fish to become a Commercial Angler when pains went through her body and she began contractions. Was going into the shower, the cupboard and the bed with Christopher behind this? Or perhaps the apples she stuffed down her throat were to blame. Whatever it was, the pain was intense and she wanted it to end. So she got back in her motive mobile and continued to the hospital.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Soon after Christopher joined her there, and the cause of her pains was revealed - an orange/yellow skinned boy that she named Lemon Citrus. He was assigned athletic by the game and artistic was chosen for him.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
He was taken home and was put in the swing by Mandarin.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Lemon was left at home in the care of Christopher and Agnes, and Mandarin headed out again for the local bookstore. She wanted to read up on the different baits available and to buy the baby books. If Lemon was to become a descendant of Da Vinci and supermax Sculpting later in life, he deserved a headstart with his painting. Mandarin stayed out to read about the baits, and Agnes chose at this time to cash in her clone voucher.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Her daughter was named Rachel and was given the traits of Artistic, Savvy Sculptor and Hopeless Romantic - not bad for one who would follow her mother's path into the world of museum piece construction.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Of course, in case her skills wouldn't be ready in time (eg if an unfortunate accident should befall the lovely Aggie) Christopher Citrus also learned Sculpting, Photography and Painting. His efforts in the garden had yielded a number of life fruit and death flowers and so was now spending time indoors, breaking every now and then to turn Lemon's swing on again: to the slow and not the fast speed. Oh and to try out the newly purchased change table - thankfully no nappy rash!

Mandarin went home and spent some time bonding with Lemon as his time as a nooboo approached its end and Rachel attended her first day of school.

Mandarin Citrus Part 3

Mandarin spent many a day and night fishing. In time she completed her supermax in fishing and became a Legendary Piscator - a Level 10 Self Employed Angler. Throughout her career, she completed opportunities dealing with catching fish and delivering fish around town, her final opportunity was to deliver a death fish to the science lab in Sunset Valley.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
As watching her catch fish in her bikini gets a bit much after a while, even if Christopher liked the time she spent in her bikini.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
We now turn to the activities of her family and housemates. In a house with five members, birthdays are to be expected, especially the elder parties, and Agnes becomes an elder in yet another game.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
But just because she's an elder, doesn't mean she has to look grey or not wear her own bikini!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Agnes studied cooking, learnt the Ambrosia Recipe and prepared it for replication and then went to the computer to write sports books and then romance books which is almost as boring as watching endless fishing. So, here's Aggie replicating the ambrosia for the future immortals, when she was still an adult.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Christopher turned his hand to creating alchemy elixirs, and despite turning green a few times, he got to the stage where he could create potent friendship elixirs. Once he ran out of beeswax, he returned to gardening, which makes fishing and writing look exciting by contrast. But he still found time to spend with his wife and son.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Aggie's clone, Rachel has her eye on the slightly older Eloy Keaton, who has been her romantic interest since prom night in high school. It looks as though the Crumplebottom/Goth family are going to link to the Keaton family, shortly after Rachel Crumplebottom completes high school in one day.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Our generation 2 heir, Lemon, has been working towards his life time wish since his toddler days, got serious about it as a child and began working towards his supermax as a teen. Following Rachel's lead, he's got his eye on a slightly older woman.

Mandarin Citrus Part 4

On Monday Week 7, Mandarin had her elder birthday, and once she had finished her birthday cake, raced to a mirror and dresser, she just had to get her hair recoloured and her clothes remeasured and she'd be ready to pose for her elder pieces, catch up with some old friends and eat ambrosia.

Mandarin's completed museum.

Afterwards she continued to fish: just because she would live forever didn't mean she didn't need to catch more fish. There was still fish in China, Egypt and France she had yet to catch! Besides which,  there was that one fish that was thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big that got away.

Of course, it wasn't ALL about Mandarin on this day! Her husband Christopher was also turning elder, and that afternoon it was his turn for his birthday party. Like his blushing bride, He wanted to update his look, but while she was all 'let's get out and have a masquerade' he was 'feeling rather fruity'. As both Cornelia and her little sister, Agnes did at elder, Christopher posed for his own set of museum pieces which would be placed alongside Cornelia and Agnes in the entry hall.

The roaring of the finely tuned engine of 'The Beast' told them that their son and Generation 2 immortal, Lemon, was home following his second last day as a teenager. He had been an 'A' student for a couple of days now, and so he would be at school again the following day to hopefully get on the honour roll. He had been working on his mother's painting before he left for school that morning, but while he had been there, Mrs. C had not only painted two portraits of Mandarin, she had also sculpted her, mask and all. So, he worked on his homework after celebrating his father's birthday. Then he returned to reading a particular book to do with his ultimate life time wish.

The sisters, Cornelia and Agnes, aged 109 and 88 respectively, spent their time gardening (in the case of Cornelia) or writing (in the case of Agnes) and then spending time with Agnes' grandson, Ian Crumplebottom. Agnes had supermaxed sculpting, painting and writing, maxed cooking and photography and had also dabbled in science and gardening. She was currently working on a mystery book, but had 32 completed books written (13 best sellers and 12 hits) and was currently earning 22,550 in royalties.

Cornelia meanwhile was level 8 gardening and 191 fruits and vegetables away from completing the final gardening challenge. That she got this far towards her supermax of gardening is rather amazing, particularly as she picked up some athletic, painting and social networking skill along the way. The current state of the household requires two of herself, Agnes and Christopher to die, (to enable 2nd generation spouse to come in and third generation to be born) but I hope if she's one of the two to die first, it'll be after she completes that supermax.

Christopher has supermaxed gardening, maxed photography, painting, sculpting (he was the backup to Agnes in case she died before Mandarin was an elder) and fishing, and has some skill in cooking, alchemy, logic and handiness. He has the skill level of alchemy required for friendship and super duper invigorating elixirs.

Tuesday, Lemon becomes a young adult (he is already there in game, and he isn't the worst sim ever that has come through from a sim parent that I created, and on Wednesday Ian Crumplebottom (grandson of Agnes and the Keatons) starts school.

Mortimer (in household) and his childhood friend, Bella, have a son and a daughter together, so hopefully one of those two will be in the household. I am not as skilled at this process of keeping townie blood alive as others are, but I do have Keaton/Crumplebottom/Steel/Goth dna in the household at the moment and hope some more into it within the next generation or two.

Founders Holiday

To celebrate the fact that Mandarin was immortal, Christopher took her and Agnes on a trip to China.
They collected the books and the stereo from base camp and then hit the shops.
While Mandarin and Christopher learnt about the baits of the Chinese fish and set about catching them all,
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Agnes set up her laptop and the stereo and continued to write her fantasy stories.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
After writing a couple of them, her laptop overheated and so she packed it up and went on an adventure.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*While they were away on holiday, Rachel Crumplebottom went on a date with Elroy Keaton, the father of her son, Ian,
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*Mortimer worked on the classically cool fixer upper for an hour or so.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*Lemon changed his look and went on a couple of dates.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*Firstly with the babysitter with whom he went to Prom. He asked her to just be friends. It turned out she had commitment issues, so she remained best friends with him.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*Then with the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his mortal life with, the slightly older Samantha Ursine, daughter of Claire Ursine and Jared Frio.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*Of course, for that to happen, someone would have to go with Grimm, either, Agnes, Christopher or Cornelia. Though with Agnes and Christopher overseas, that only left Cornelia. Mortimer met with Grimm out by the gravestone.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*However, Cornelia was outside tasting jelly beans at the time of the death.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
*And the ghost waiting to meet the holiday makers on their return home was Dorothy DeMayo.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
So, at week 7 day 7, Cornelia is 113, Agnes is 93 and Christopher is 78, and we're still waiting for two of them to die.

NOTE: * These events, of course, took place since Agnes, Christopher and Mandarin returned from China, don't worry, I haven't done anything silly like starting up another game with them or anything. :)

Lemon Citrus

A straight A student in primary and secondary school, no one was overly surprised when Lemon was named valedictorian at Graduation. What WAS surprising was that he was voted mostly likely to achieve greatness writing (or something like that - it was to do with writing). Considering he A) isn't a bookworm and B) isn't doing writing as his supermax, he wasn't going to be writing a book anytime soon. Besides, a later Generation will be having the fun of writing for their supermax!

At the prom, Lemon met up with a baby sitter, and they somehow became a couple.

On his first day as a Young Adult, he asked the baby sitter to just be friends. And they remained Best Friends. It turned out she was rather adverse to being in a long term commitment, so she happily left the romantic grouping. This allowed Lemon to pursue the 'slightly' older Sally Ursine, who the watcher had picked out as Gen 2 spouse a long time earlier.

She agreed to becoming his girlfriend, but moving in, getting married and having a baby would have to wait for a bit.

Afterall, Cornelia and Agnes were still alive! That wasn't to last long, however ...

On Week 7, Day 7 (yes, the same date as the stats in the previous post), Grimm returned in the early afternoon.

He had a date with one of the Crumplebottom sisters, and chose to take Cornelia.

Agnes wept at the loss of her older sister.

Mortimer wept at the loss of his mother ...

Rachel wept at the loss of her Aunt ...

Ian wept at the loss of his Grandma's sister ...

Mandarin, Christopher and Lemon all wept as well, because they wanted to be sympathetic to the rest of their household.

Lemon didn't waste too much time in weeping, and soon after Grimm left, called Sally over.

He romanced her, kissed her, massaged her, whispered sweet nothings to her, and then proposed marriage to her.

She laughed at his social awkwardness and left in a hurry. Strangely enough, he didn't have the social awkward trait, so he returned to working on his supermax.

Christopher heard his son's weeping and gnashing of teeth, was sick of it, and so he hatched a cunning plan.

He invited Sally Ursine over the next day, and threw a friendship potion at her. He then threw a potion of bliss at her, followed by a second friendship potion. He then talked to her and shared jokes with her, until he was able to ask her to move in. She accepted.

It turned out she was insane, she hated the outdoors and a few other nasty traits, so she was sent to the brain enhancement machines for a personality overhaul. It was also discovered she had high level handiness skill, and a ltw of become a one sim band. So she bought herself a drumkit, a guitar, a piano and a bass in quick order.

One overhaul later, and Lemon Citrus tried again. A second proposal of marriage ... success! Followed by a private wedding out by the letterbox and Sally Ursine became Sally Citrus, before getting an overhaul in terms of hairstyle and clothing.

Lemon took Sally to China for their honeymoon and Agnes tagged along to continue her writing. Sally played her instruments in the base camp. Agnes rented a room at the academy to write. Lemon was contacted to investigate the dragon's maw cave.

Returning from the dragon's maw with news of what he found, Lemon found himself called on to collect metals and gems, before going underground with Sally to disarm traps and find treasures.

Returning home, Lemon returned to his supermax, Sally continued to play the instruments for her ltw, and Agnes wrote her books.

Oh, and Sally is a good bit older than I thought she would be. On the day she joined the household, she was on her first day as an adult, so we have just under 3 weeks for Agnes or Chris to die.

On Saturday Week 8, Agnes purchased herself a jelly bean tree and turned blue.

On Sunday Week 9, after her 2nd jelly bean, she collapsed to the ground and was taken away by Grimm. She picked up a large gravestone for the large amount of work she did in her life.

After mourning, Lemon and Samantha got to work on producing Generation 3.

After trying twice, they had success on their third attempt.

Samantha was stuffing herself with watermelons, while Lemon returned to his sculpting. He had 15,000 or so to go before reaching level ten on his sculpting career.

Mortimer went to visit his girlfriend, the beautiful Bella Bachelor. Following the normal greetings between the two of them, and the bed time of their two kids, they retired to Bella's bedroom to continue their own greetings. Three-Four days later would show whether or not Bella and Mortimer were successful in their efforts.

Sadly, Mortimer and Bella weren't successful.

So, they returned to where they successfully had their old two kids, the local theatre and they tried again backstage.

Lemon and Sally (not Samantha) had Generation 3 - Tangerine Citrus, a pretty little girl with the hair colour and skin from her father's line.

Tangerine had a rather uneventful nooboo hood, including her mother playing the drums in the same room that she swung back and forth in her baby swing.

On the third day, she grew into a toddler and started to play her xylophone. Her mother wants to become a one sim band, so obviously her mother's drumming paid off for her.

Her father, Lemon, got to teach her to potty, while her mother learned photography in a hurry and her future mother in law painted her portrait. Following potty training, Lemon sculpted Tangerine's toddler sculpture as they waited for Sally to max photography.

While all this excitement is going on, Mandarin's life consists of fishing, eating, sleeping, toileting, showering and feeding fish. Her fishing pond is locked so that only her and her husband can get into it.

Her husband, Christopher Steel is still alive at 90, he has long since given up the gardening and focuses almost exclusively on fishing with his darling Mandarin.

Mortimer Goth paints and sculpts and sculpts and paints and occasionally goes out to try to get Bella pregnant. Apart from the first two successes, he hasn't enjoyed any success in this regard. The two continuing on his name are Chauncey and Starla Bachelor.

Rachel Crumplebottom is the cloned child of Agnes Crumplebottom by virtue of the ltw clone voucher. She had a son with Elroy Keaton, the unborn son of Marty and his wife, Justine. Rachel has taken over the garden from Christopher and her aunt, Cornelia, and spends her other time painting and sculpting and photographing.

Sally (not Samantha) was the husband of Lemon Citrus, and was the daughter of Claire Ursine and Jared Frio. She wants to be a one sim band and so has spent lots of time playing the instruments while pregnant and while Tangerine was a nooboo. She also works in the garden alongside Rachel.

Lemon Citrus has joined the business career in the hope of getting some opps. He has his properties, his career, his skill, his ltw and his ltrs all in place, he's in the second half of his young adulthood and he hasn't received any sculpting opportunities yet. So here's hoping that some of the many sculpting ops (or even painting ops) roll his way, instead of to others in the household. It really won't surprise me if he becomes an immortal and THEN he gets ops for sculpting lol!

Ian Crumplebottom is the teenage son of Rachel and Elroy and is likely going to be the husband of Tangerine in the future. The choice is for him to be the husband of Tangerine and hope that Christopher Steel and either Mortimer/Sally/Rachel dies early enough to allow Starla to join, and that she is still young enough to be the wife of generation 4 when that time comes around, or for someone to learn science, and clone her in that way. :D The other option of Tangerine marrying Chauncey and having Ian have a child with (probably) Sandi French outside the family might be a bit of an issue.

Tangerine at this stage is looking cute in her little seafoam number and black hair in seafoam coloured ties.

Well, after a few days of computer crashes, and updates, it seems that the never ending cycle of living through the days of teaching Generation 3 her toddler skills is over, as I've been able to save it after the talking/walking/pottying has all been learned and we are now approaching an exciting new week of activities.
