Holiday Cracker
« on: December 13, 2016, 12:02:28 AM »
This is what happened when my Sims opened their holiday crackers, which cost §10 a piece.

Then, Maureen got this stuffed animal:

There are a few different outcomes so keep having your sims opening them.  :)

This may be a stupid question, but since there are three different crackers, do certain stuffed animals spawn from certain crackers or is it just random?

I've gotten different outcomes, and they seem to be random.  You also may not get a stuffed animal.

I have found that also you can find the crackers in build mode. I made a holiday room and just dropped a bunch of crackers around the room on tables and things. Then just have your sim go thru and open them all up. :D Might be faster if your looking for a last stuffed animal or something. :D

Did you know sims will also open them up autonomously too.  :)

Wow 8)!  Really, Play?  It would be fun.  If they happen to open one inside, will it cause a fire?

Don't know all my current sims have high skills so random fire probability is very low for them. Fires are no big deal in TS4 anyway, just direct your sim to extinguish it.

My adult Sims have completed all freelance botanist aspiration, and have all 10s in many skils --- even the children.  Yeah, fire isn't that bad in TS4.  I haven't had a fire in TS3, which I've been playing for a month.  Is it much worse?  Now, I switch between TS3 and TS4.

It's deadly in TS3, it's great. Plus NPC firemen will arrive and extinguish it. Eventually. lol

@coolsim9999999 Be very careful with fire... It's one of the first causes of death !
I play with a large werewolf / fairy family with plenty of kids. Their daughter Thea was celebrating her first birthday. They organized a big party with the maximum number of guests, and with additional people who came, all the werewolves and fairies of Moonlight Falls went to it. The problem is that the birthday cake took fire, and worse, the mother is a complete coward so she was just running and screaming, and the father couldn't do anything because there were too many people, so the fire eventually spread to the whole lot and everybody went on fire. :o I had to quit and reload without saving, because otherwise there wouldn't have been a single werewolf and fairy alive in Moonlight Falls after that.
More often, fireplaces spread fire if they aren't upgraded, and stoves catch fire with sims with low cooking skill.

Thanks Candyd 8).  I just got rid of the stove tonight, as well as the children's stove.  I have aging off, so no more birthday cakes, and I'm not going to buy a fireplace or a grill.  I will be very cautious, though.  All 4 members of my Sim family are lucky, if that helps.

Actually, Unlucky is the better trait to have. Yeah, they're more prone to potentially fatal accidents, but, barring old age, Grim seldom takes them. He tells them that they amuse him and he's going to give them another chance so they can amuse him more lol

One of my Gen 3 triplets in TS3 caught fire via her birthday cake. I immediately sent her to the shower and, what does the fruitcake do?!? She dawdles to the kitchen (I use cakes outside due to previous fires lol) to put her plate of cake on the counter. And then only heads to the shower. She turned into ash and an urn just seconds from that watery salvation :-(
