I never noticed this thread, but what the hey I shall contribute again.  :)

I'm a sort of stay at home mother nearly 31 years old, but I do work. I am half French, sort of... (granny is French, Grandad is German, they both speak English but they can't speak the others mother tongue).

Mother was born in Scotland and grew up there raised in a traditional French upbringing. A Scottish person speaking French IS hilarious I have to tell you when she speaks German that's funny too. And my dad is English.

I was born in England. So I am a bit of all the above minus the Scottish accent, and I can parle the francais and sprechen the deutsch too. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I am in the middle.

I have red hair and blue eyes, weird combo... I can be a little bit of a grump unfortunately, but that's only since I stopped smoking 12 years ago (Excluding the few sneaky cigarettes I have at Christmas time. ;) ) Also surprisingly for somebody of French and German descent I cannot hold my alcohol at all! I am a very cheap date.

I also suffer from Acromegaly so I have VERY large hands for a woman (and sadly a rather manly jaw and chin too), and I use a tiny laptop/tablet usually. I will try to keep my mistakes to minimum as best I can but I can mash keys all at once. But just throwing that out there so you guys know.

I love cats, and Bacon is my above all else favourite food. Its bacon's fault I am no longer a vegetarian.

It's more realistic that a Sim can't get to the top of 3-4 Careers in the span of a lifetime, and I like it that way.

Hi, dragon red (I like your name)
'Kicking Careers into High Gear' was the second challenge in the 2015 Tournament. Several players maxed 4 careers before their Sims turned elder.
The tournament write-ups (strategies) are nothing compared to Carl's fabulous guides.
But you can learn some interesting bits and pieces from reading these too.

Hello! I'm Cubi and I've been hiding around on this site for a while now. I've been playing Sims since the first game and I made a habit of buying every Sims 3 expansion or stuff pack that came out. I now play Sims 4 the most, although on my fiancée's laptop as mine is still broken.

I've been reading some of the stories on here, and I would like to take part in the Challenges. I've already started planning my Immortal Dynasty, although I'm pretty new to it so I'm just hoping to get as far as I can with it. I will post my story when I get to that point, and I look forward to being part of the forum.

Hello,
I needed a place to talk about Sims related things so I joined. I'm female, and from the UK. I'm currently playing Sims 4 but I have been playing since 1. My favourite Sims game was 3, due to its open world which I found very involving. The game series as a whole is very interesting to me, due to its infinite possibilities and the potential for creativity.

I play a lot of video/computer games and my favourite genre is RPG. Aside from video games, I also like tabletop RPGs. I collect and paint miniatures.

I also like dogs and ice-cream.

I used to be pretty active on here around 2013/2014 then suddenly vanished, so I should probably re-introduce myself...

I'm Gracie, but people usually call me Loon or Loonie over the 'net. I'm turning twenty in September and if you look up "crazy cat lady" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of me. I have four cats ranging from between five and fifteen years old and I raised two of them from kittenhood.

I'm in my second/third year of college (I took classes during my senior year of high school) studying Creative Writing and during the summer I'm a full-time nanny for a special needs child.

Hello all! My name is Heather, and I am currently 17! Lol I played the Sims 2, the Sims 3, and have recently purchased the Sims 4, so I searched for a forum to join!
I've always been a cheater on Sims, but I'm finding it a lot easier to deal with my sims' needs now that I'm older (or maybe because Sims 4 is just easier?) and I'm having a blast playing it realistically! (Well I do make my sims very wealthy before I start.....) I hope to become an active member of this forum and to make some Sims friends.(:

Welcome to the forum @Fraido . When I'm not playing challenges I love to help myself to the bank of 'Motherlode' and then build my sims a mansion and I've been known to cheat needs in TS4 too so my sims can skill up 24/7. It's fun to be able to play in different ways.

That's the thing with cheating, it is a full right to do it but i really think that many times by cheating all the time players lose something for the fun side.

welcome Fraido.

You really do! I find that I would get bored more quickly when I would play with my needs static, but at the same time I had difficulty keeping my sims' needs fulfilled, and that wasn't much fun either. Sims 4 seems to be easier to keep them up though, in my opinion.

Well, for me, challenge start when you want to top careers, didn't had that difficulty in TS3. Emotions and multitasking are fun but not that easy to supervise.

In TS3 i had plans straight working, in TS4 i find more disturbance interfering and you really need to check and ask your sims to go your way if you want them to go up their career.

Hi there,

I just thought that I would introduce myself to this new (to me) community. I have found already how much of a warm forum feel this place has when compared to the many others on the web and I look forward to staying and being a part of it.

A bit about myself: I am a freelance graphic designer from home, making stuff like logos, websites and many other little things. It's like playing with crayons, but so much better. I get praised for colouring outside of the lines ;) I also ride horses which, being self employed, gives me time to do.

I also write. I have self published two books of a five book series. I love storytelling. When I can't write, I get moody, my little moodlet (see what I did there?) Hated reading when I was young, but now it's just a part of life. Reading and writing go so well together, who knew? I believe that is what brought me here. The Sims is a way of storytelling and with the randomness of each of our games, it's not a mystery why we all have these stories to tell. Nobody's game is ever the same.

I look forward to meeting you all and reading your stuff!

Hi,
This site has shown up so often when I google for help/tips with the game that I thought it'd be a good idea to join.  "Thank you!" to the site owner/s for posting so much helpful information.
I'm playing for the first time ever.  My daughters gave me the game for my birthday and I've come here to learn my way around.  My girls gave me a Sims3 pack with Late Night and Loft Stuff bundled together.  Please redirect me if I'm posting in the wrong place, since I play Sims3 and there is a newer version available.  I'm getting familiar with terms like legacy, dynasty, and immortal.  It's a bit overwhelming to a noob like me.
Look forward to getting to know you all and sharing a love for the game.

Welcome @AcmeMovers this forum is a safe zone for sims 3 and 4. As far as I know, it's been split into two subforums for each game. The people here are amazing and helpful and super talented! If you can't find a particular topic, just ask and someone will direct you or move your post to the correct area.

Um, i'm Beetan, from my real name Bee, haha. I'm a young female from Canada, studying in Creative Writing :D

It's been now 12 years since I started playing The Sims, so yeah, i was only a child when it all started. I remember that I fought a lot with my parents because they didn't understand why was I so addicted to this game, and swearing I would never stop playing; well IN YOUR FACE, PARENTS! haha

Umm, I also play a lot of video games and have a passion for animals; i have myself a little pug and a cute cat prince!  ::)

Thanks for reading! I hope we'll have a chance to talk soon!   ;D
