The Took Immortal Dynasty, We Knew This Day Would Come
« Reply #90 on: July 29, 2017, 12:25:51 PM »
Pippin:  We begin this update with a birthday.

Summer:  You could have at least thrown me a party, Pippin.
Pippin:  You're a non-household Sim.  I didn't even know it was your birthday.
Summer:  Whatever.
Pippin:  So...does elderhood mean you'll stop roaming around naked?
Summer:  Not on your life!
Pippin:  (sigh) Anyway, we have an actual household elder who has gotten her warning from Grim, so we're making sure Rieko gets in lots of quality time with her hubby, her family, and in ensuring good things will be in place for her household after she's gone.

Rieko:  Alright, honey, let's swing by a few households and make more connections.  You never know when someone might need a replacement friend or older spouse.
Pippin:  You're so awesome, Rieko.
Rieko:  I know.

Pippin:  Clinton Caliente is Victor's son with Katrina.  That hair and those eyes would be an excellent addition to our gene pool if Chantons has a daughter and Clinton lives long enough.
Rieko:  Stop arranging marriages for children who don't even exist yet, Pippin.
Pippin:  Okay, fair point.
Rieko:  And moving to the next household...

Pippin:  Aww, little Keisha Ojo is adorable!!
Rieko:  This reminds me of back when Abernathy was just a little toddler.
Pippin:  Yeah.  So, where to now?
Gaivan:  I was...and that...where going...for now that...
Rieko:  A surprise for me?  How exciting!
Pippin:  ...no one will be able to understand him when you're gone.
Rieko:  He'll be fine.  Just get him to talk about food.

Rieko:  Oooo, this is pretty!  What are we doing here?
Gaivan:  I...and vows...that when we...and now...
Rieko:  Renewing our vows?  That's so romantic!

Pippin:  And so, the happy couple renewed their vows and...Gaivan, are you crying?
Gaivan:  I...and the (sob)...that she (sniffle)...and we're...yes.
Rieko:  I love you too, sweetie!
Pippin:  And cue fireworks!

Pippin:  And following the renewing of the vows and subsequent fireworks show, it's time for a family dinner.

Izumi:  Ooooo, Chez Llama!  How fancy!
Abernathy:  Nothing but the best for my mama.
Rieko:  Chantons, must you wear that hat with your formal wear?
Chantons:  I did it my way!
Rieko:  Well, it's hard to argue with that logic.

Rieko:  Thanks, everyone, for coming to this get together.  We get so busy with dynasty requirements that I think we miss out too much on family time.
Izumi:  Agreed, Rieko, and I'm taking notes on how to run the family for when you're...when you...well...for later.
Rieko:  Thank you dear.
Abernathy:  It's so sweet how you two are...
Rieko and Izumi:  (glare)
Abernathy:  Umm...uhhh...Oh look, Johnny's performing tonight.
Rieko:  Oh, and isn't that your date, Chantons?

Pippin:  Wait, Chantons' date is Candy?
Chantons:  We go to a party and everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady that's walking around with me
And then she asks me, Do you feel all right?
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight"

Candy:  Oh, Chantons, you're so much more charming than your grandpa ever was!  And way more charming than that nasty Johnny Zest!
Johnny:  So, The Spice Girls are planning to do a reunion tour and actually asked me to join the group.  My stage name will be Old Spice (buh-dum-tch)
Crowd:  (laughter from those old enough to know who the Spice Girls are)

Johnny:  Getting old is rough.  It comes with massive pains in the back, though I'd rather have a pain in the back than be a pain in the butt (buh-dum-tch)
Crowd:  (general chuckles and a few utterances about Johnny actually being a pain in the butt come from Candy)

Johnny:  Some people say age is just a state of mind.  I'm pretty sure it's the state of shock (buh-dum-tch)
Crowd:  (laughter)
Johnny:  Thank you!  You've been an almost tolerable audience!

Candy:  Hmm, I just can't decide what to order.
Chantons:  Try the grey stuff
                 It's delicious
                 Don't believe me?
                 Ask the dishes!

Candy:  Oh.  Hmmm, that does sound good!
Pippin:  And since they were there for about 2 hours and the waitress never came over to take their order, they left and everyone was quite happy to be back at home.

Candy:  Umm, Gaivan?  Have you been putting on weight?
Giavan:  Oh I...and aliens...having been...and twice now...for that...
Candy:  So...yes then?
Rieko:  He's pregnant with an alien baby.  Again.
Candy:  Oh, must feel odd having your romantic interest having babies with other people (glares at Johnny)
Johnny:  (whistles innocently and heads off to tend the garden)
Pippin:  And speaking of people who have babies with other people...

Otis:  Tanvi, my beloved, how kind of you to come visit.
Tanvi:  Umm, you see the guy in the mask, right?
Otis:  No, my dear, I only have eyes for you.
Tanvi:  Yeah, whatever, let's go inside and I can enjoy seeing you in your new sleepwear.
Otis:  (sigh) Okay.
Pippin:  Getting tired of just being eye candy?
Otis:  ...maybe.
Pippin:  So, Captain Eye Candy makes attempts to bring in a female offspring with Tanvi and then invites Sylvia over to ensure that their last pollinating had the desired result.

Pippin:  Umm, is that sympathy nausea, Otis?
Otis:  Hey, I'm a sensitive guy!
Pippin:  And the sensitive guy asked his lady friend to leave even as our next heir had a visitor coming over.

Nyla:  Hi, Chantons!
Chantons:  Good morning, starshine
                 The Earth says hello

Nyla:  I bet your Watcher actually recognizes me as a girl now (glares)
Pippin:  (looks away innocently muttering something about speaking Swedish)
Sylvia:  Umm, I'm frozen.  Can someone fix that?  Hello?  Anyone?
Pippin:  Sorry, Sylvia, I have a bad feeling something more important is about to happen...

Pippin:  Hey, Rieko, that painting's coming along really nicely.
Rieko:  It's finished.  It's my time.
Pippin:  Your time?

Pippin:  Rieko?!?!  Don't leave me!!!
Rieko:  It's okay, Pippin.  Izumi?
Izumi:  Yes, ma'am?
Rieko:  You're in charge now.
Izumi: (chokes back a tear) Yes, ma'am.

Izumi:  I can't believe she's leaving me!
Grim:  You know she really came to love you, right?
Izumi:  (sobs) She was the best!
Pippin:  Rieko Took, beloved wife and mother, you will be tremendously missed.

I knew when I read the chapter title what was going to happen. So sorry about Rieko -- she was the greatest.

I'm glad to see that Nyla aged up with a girlish hairstyle. I hope she doesn't inherit her father's sense of humor, though. Not sure if people who aren't old enough to remember the Spice girls would be old enough to know about Old Spice. I guess you can still buy it, though.

I'm very envious of Gaivan's pregnancies -- hoping one of my Sims gets an alien baby this generation.

Izumi is going to have to take over now.

Awwww, poor poor Gaivan. Who will complete his sentences and translate for him now?
Rieko, we will miss you, your sass, your genius strategies, and your fantastic style!

Whoa, Pippin, that makes three male pregnancies in your household for the first generation!  What is your secret?

Aw, not Rieko =( She will be dearly missed. I remember some Old Spice ads from the 90s, I thoroughly enjoyed the Isaiah Mustafa ones!

Finally I am all caught up, and such a sad time too with Rieko passing away. Hope the family won't suffer too much and that they can mourn her passing together.

I read this story over the weekend and finally caught up today, unfortunately it was at a sad time. RIP Rieko, she was awesome and gorgeous.

Alien pregnancies are like an epidemic in my household!  If only I'd had less plans of pollinating happening, maybe we would have kept some alienboos.
Nyla definitely looks more girly as a child than she did as a toddler.
Spice for life, my friend.  Spice for life.

I expected you to pull a cheap trick and show that Johnny died instead. Sigh. :'(
Now, would I really do a thing like that?
You're right.  I would  ;=)

Awwww, poor poor Gaivan. Who will complete his sentences and translate for him now?

No secret.  Aliens just like my household for some reason.
Yeah, the loss of Rieko definitely takes away from the household and the storytelling.  She was an all-time favorite spouse (not moreso than blonde Izumi, of course, but right up there).

Aw, not Rieko =( She will be dearly missed. I remember some Old Spice ads from the 90s, I thoroughly enjoyed the Isaiah Mustafa ones!

Otis could probably manage to recreate those commercials  ;=)

So glad you got caught up (right around the same time I finally caught up on your story, amusingly).
I feel bad for Izumi.  She seems to be around every time someone dies, so she's had the sad moodlet more often than any Sim I've ever played!

I read this story over the weekend and finally caught up today, unfortunately it was at a sad time. RIP Rieko, she was awesome and gorgeous.
Glad to have you on board!  And yes, the loss of Rieko was very, very sad for all of us  :=(

The Took Immortal Dynasty, (Alien) Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh!
« Reply #99 on: August 04, 2017, 06:41:53 PM »
Pippin:  We rejoin the Took household where, well, Otis' role as eye candy is getting a bit out of hand.

Marissa:  Ooooo, so muscly!
Otis:  (sigh) Thanks.
Johnny:  So anyway, Diego, we might have need of your services later.
Diego:  Hmmm, definitely intrigued!
Pippin:  But Otis did not keep the role of eye candy much longer.

Otis:  Hey, there's a bright light...and it seems it's...full of googly-eyed ladies?
Pippin:  You will now be eye candy on the other side.
Otis:  (sigh)

Grim:  Seriously, though, did you guys notice how ripped he was?  I mean, that guy's body was rock solid!
Candy:  I noticed as often as humanly possible!
Izumi:  (looks away innocently)

Abernathy:  So, Invention-Bot, you're sure this will prevent more alien abductions?
Invention-Bot:  Yes.  You.  Will.  Not.  Be.  Impregnated.  Again.
Abernathy:  Yeah, that would be good.
Pippin:  Yes, Abernathy and Gaivan are both pregnant with alien babies right now.

Laurie:  Wow, Chantons, being a dynasty heir must be a lot of responsibility!  You're handling it quite well, if you don't mind my saying.
Chantons:  Pressure pushing down on me
Pushing down on you no man ask for

Pippin:  Indeed, Laurie is lovely and kind and a great spouse option, but she also has a sister...who is also her aunt...

Pippin:  Annalise, the daughter of Victor Feng and Moira Fyres, is cheerful and neat.  Such awesome traits these girls have!
Chantons:  I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Watch you weave then breathe your story lines

Annalise:  Umm, actually, I just wear them because I think they look cool..?
Pippin:  Victor did, indeed, have some lovely daughters.  And speaking of a parent having multiple children...

Izumi:  Aww, a cute baby boy!  What are you going to name him?
Gaivan:  He...and that...because I...Zephyr.
Izumi:  Zephyr.  What a unique name!  Well, to help ease the pain of your losing dear Rieko, you may keep baby Zephyr until Abernathy gives birth.  We'll send them back together so they can be raised together.
Gaivan:  I and...yes that he...because
Izumi:  You're welcome.
Pippin:  You understood him?
Izumi:  Nope.  Totally guessing.
Pippin:  Alright.  Good work.  Anyway, let's head to the park.

Stephanie Caliente:  (thinks about how she should be chosen as dynasty spouse while glaring at Wren Behr)
Wren:  (smiles for the camera and completely misses the glare...while walking through a short wall)

Pippin:  Oh look, while those two don't actually interact with our heir, Laurie is over here looking like she'd be a great mother to a future heir.
Laurie:  RWAWR...wait, looking like I'd what?
Pippin:  Nothing.  I said something in Swedish.  Right, Grim?  Grim?  Hmmm, he must be busy somewhere else...

Johnny:  A performer can ask nothing more from life than the love of an inappropriately under-aged spouse,

Johnny:  beautiful and loving children,

Johnny:  and to die on stage.
Grim:  Johnny Zest.  Famous comedian, highly successful pollinator, and spouse of...WOW!  She's pretty!  And single now...
Summer:  Really sensitive there, Grim.
Grim:  Hey, you're the one who showed up to his death in a towel.
Pippin:  Oh, Johnny, you will be missed.  You were a glorious helper and support to the dynasty.  I mean, we'll miss Rieko and Raj more, but you were still pretty awesome.  Decent at least.
Izumi:  Pippin, you really need to learn when to just stop.
Pippin:  ...yeah...

Pippin:  Well, Uncle Johnny may be gone, but Chantons manages to forge ahead with his skilling.
Chantons:  Johnny, rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard,
'Cause [Cleveland's] broke loose in Georgia and the Devil deals the cards
And if you win you'll get this shiny fiddle made of gold,
But if you lose, the Devil gets your soul!

Pippin:  Excellent working on censoring, young heir.  I am so proud right now!  Oh, hold on.  Someone's at the door.

Don:  I understand you have an opening for a pollinator.
Pippin:  No!  Definitely not!  My pollinators are of the highest moral fiber, and you, playboy Don, are nothing of that sort!
Don:  I brought my resume...
Pippin:  No!  Nothing you say could change my mind!
Don:  I worked with the Spiffendales.
Pippin:  Oh...well...
Don:  And was a spouse with the Brooks'.
Pippin:  Welcome aboard!

Don:  Hey, Mr. Took!  I'm Don.  Pippin just hired me on as your new pollinator.  I understand Johnny is gone, so I figured you'd need someone with experience to head things up.
Gaivan:  I...and that you...because when...first we...and sometimes...that is why...and your room.
Don:  I...have no idea what you just said.
Pippin:  You get used to that.  Hey, what's happening in the master bedroom?

Abernathy:  Oh man!  OWWOWOOWOWOOWW!!!  Baby's coming.  BABY'S COMING!!!

Izumi:  My parental panic senses are tingling...
Pippin:  Umm, should you maybe head over to support your husband?
Izumi:  Can't!  Too busy panicking!

Pippin:  Aww, another baby boy!  What are you going to name him?
Abernathy:  I'm naming him Riekan.
Pippin:  Aww, in honor of your mom?
Abernathy:  Of course.  She was the best.
Pippin:  Well, it's time for the alien babies to head home to Sixam.
Abernathy:  (sigh) I know.  Goodbye, little one.
Pippin:  You too, Gaivan.

Gaivan:  And you...that together...because when...and family.
Pippin:  That was probably really sweet.  Maybe some yoga to decompress from this emotional moment?

Gaivan:  And it's...not as much...kind of that...
Pippin:  Perfect.  Anyway, Abernathy has finished all of his requirements and is simply waiting to hit the elder life stage.  Chantons has already started working on the violin and piano skills.  Things are definitely going well!

I noticed that Vladislaus Straud was also present for the demise of Otis. Was he an Otis fan as well?

It's really incredible how many alien abductions and male pregnancies you've had in your dynasty household so far. Five for the first two generations?
Rest in peace, Otis! Too bad your time with the Tooks was so brief! I was looking forward to your recreations of the Old Spice commercials!

Congrats to Abernathy to being so close to immortality! But I don't want time to pass too swiftly because I'm enjoying Izumi too much...

I'm envious of your alien abduction rate, too. The aliens in my game seem to have a fixation on females. From Abernathy's conversation with the IC, my guess is that a satellite dish will soon be appearing on the grounds.
So Laurie is the daughter of Morgan and Victor Feng? She's gorgeous, and red-haired, to boot.

Yeah, Vlad creeps around the house from time to time, though we've been free from vampire break-ins.  Apparently the vamps know that the aliens have already claimed our household?
Otis was a fun character.  He developed more of a storyline than I'd actually thought he would.
I'm also already dreading the day we lose Izumi.  She's been around since almost the beginning of the dynasty!

Yes, the satellite dish is firmly in place and keeping us alien-free and will likely continue to do so until I get lazy and forget to turn it on  :=/
Yes, Laurie is the result of Morgan and Victor both having awesome genes!!  I'm not sure if she'll be the spouse choice or not, but she makes it really hard to consider anyone else!

The Took Immortal Dynasty, Chantons? More Like Chan-teens
« Reply #103 on: August 06, 2017, 01:01:20 PM »
Pippin:  While Rieko has forbidden my meddling in Chantons' spouse-selecting, our young heir has managed to find himself several good options.

Pippin:  On the far left is Nyla (who totally looks like a girl now) and to Chantons' immediate left is Keisha Ojo.
Miko:  My line will marry into this dynasty!!
Keisha:  So, umm, yeah.  My mom's a little..."enthusiastic" about us spending time together.
Chantons:  Two of us riding nowhere
                 Spending someone´s hard earned pay
                 You and me Sunday driving
Not arriving on our way back home

Kaisha:  Ummm, yeah.  Sure.  Let's go play on the pirate ship.
Chantons:  For I am a Pirate King!
And it is, it is a glorious thing
                 To be a Pirate King!

Pippin:  And speaking of a boy spending time with a girl...

Don:  Why, Luna, I would offer to train you at the gym, but you're already the vision of perfection.
Luna:  Why, Don, if I didn't know better, I'd think you were flirting with me!
Don:  Well, let's pretend you don't know better then.
Pippin:  Alright, I guess letting Don join the household was a smart move.
Don:  Told you so!
Pippin:  Don is, indeed, a man of many talents.

Don:  Didn't think this was what I signed on for...
Pippin:  Less whining!  More cleaning!
Don:  Why are we getting things all cleaned up anyway?
Pippin:  For a very special day!

Pippin:  No big party for this one.  Just a quiet get together.
Candy:  That's more than I got for my birthday!
Pippin:  Again, I don't get notices for birthdays for non-household Sims.
Candy:  I'm not a household Sim, but you just have me hang out here all the time to be eye-Candy.
Pippin:  Nice pun!
Candy:  Yeah it was!  But seriously, I'm still beautiful, right?
Pippin:  Of course you are.  Please don't hit me.
Candy:  Aww, thanks, Pippin.
Pippin:  You're welcome.  And since we're speaking of eye candy...

Pippin:  Don is quite capably filling Otis' old role.

Pippin: Quite capably indeed!
Don:  Yep, I'm doing alright for myself, but every good pollinator needs an apprentice.
Pippin:  What?

Pippin:  Oh.  Akira Kibo joined the household.  How did I not notice that?
Don:  Because, above all, a pollinator must be a smooth operator.
Pippin:  Wow.  You are quite the pro, Don.  And look, Elsa is being pollinated so we keep those gorgeous genes around!
Elsa:  I'm so not flattered by this outcome.
Pippin:  That's the spirit!  Oh, and look at how helpful Chantons is being with Akira's efforts.

Chantons:  Oh, this is the night, it's a beautiful night
And we call it bella notte
Look at the skies, they have stars in their eyes
                 On this lovely bella note

Pippin:  Yes.  If possible, we will eventually get some blueboos in this dynasty line!  We'll also make sure that the Landgraab line continues to be an option.

Pippin:  Kristy's entire makeover was simply to remove her headwrap.  Everything else is as it was.  I think she's a wonderful combination of ridiculous and lovely.
Kristy:  Ummm, thanks I think?
Don:  Yeah, Pippin's not the best at giving out "normal" compliments.
Pippin:  Thank you, Don.  Meantime, Abernathy has reached level 10 of the science career.  I still join him at work sometimes just for the sheer fun his job entails.

Pippin:  That is too cool!
Abernathy:  Seriously, Pippin?

Abernathy:  Hahahaha!  You look ridiculous, Rachid!
Pippin:  Actually, now that you've transformed his hair to green, he might be a future pollinator.
Abernathy:  Oh.  In that case, you're welcome, Rachid.
Rachid:  Ummm...thanks?

Pippin:  And you're welcome to these three fortunate ladies who were pollinated.  Excellent work, Don and Akira!
Don:  Well, we do aim to please.

Gaivan:  So the...and when you...because the candles...so cake!
Pippin:  Yep.  Pretty sure he said something about it being time for you to become a teen, Chantons.
Chantons:  But time makes you bolder
                 Even children get older
                 And I'm getting older, too

Pippin:  Yes, that!

Pippin:  And so, with the cake made and candled, and with his grandfather and his favorite older female friend watching, Chantons blew out his candles, went off to the closet, and...

Pippin:  proved that fashion is overrated.
Chantons:  I feel pretty
                 Oh so pretty
I feel pretty and witty and bright

Pippin:  Apparently that is his birthday theme song.  Conveniently, Izumi's adult birthday is the same day as Chantons' birthday.  I'm thinking this is a great chance to get another gold medal party under our belts!
Izumi:  Umm, Pippin?  Do you not see this?

Pippin:  Akira?  But he just got here!  He's only pollinated two or three ladies!
Don:  Darn, I'm gonna need a new apprentice.
Izumi:  Nice sensitivity, fellas.
Candy:  We definitely need the party now.  It will lift everyone's spirit.
Chantons:  My girl wants to
                 Party all the time
                 Party all the time
                 Party all the ti-ime

Pippin:  You heard the man!  A couple of adorable blueboos were invited guests.

Pippin:  Roxana Cowan, in the back, is the daughter of Kiana Cowan and...probably Otis.  Valerie Peterson is the daughter of Belle Peterson and also probably Otis.  I mean, I really had him focus on alien ladies.
Valerie:  I'm so angry that Chantons aged up before I did!  I can't date him when I'm a child!
Roxana:  (sigh) He's going to move on without me just like his father moved on without my mom.
Pippin:  Hmm, Roxana definitely reminds me of her mother.  Although, unlike her mother, Roxana is half of a set of twins.  Her twin's here somewhere.  Pretty sure.

Pippin:  Well, Laurie is just as lovely in her party wear as her everyday wear.
Laurie:  Umm, people don't stop being attractive just because they change their clothes, so...
Pippin:  And her sister/aunt came too!

Pippin:  and she didn't wear her sunglasses...though I think she may be color blind.
Annalise:  Nonsense!  These shades of blue all match perfectly!
Pippin:  Ummm...sure they do...anyway, as the guests milled about and party requirements were met, Izumi approached her cake alone...

Pippin:  and became an adult.

Izumi:  Whoa!!  That's the first birthday I've ever had!
Pippin:  Oh, I guess that's right.  You've been around forever, but you were a randomly generated young adult vampire.  This must be odd for you.  Anything I can do to help smooth out this odd transition?
Izumi:  Well, in honor of my mentor, how about a dance party?
Pippin:  Done!

Pippin:  Getting a nice selfie there, Alysia?
Alysia:  Hey, as a half-alien child who isn't blue or green, this is probably as close as I'll ever be to becoming part of this family.
Izumi:  So refreshing to find such a self-aware young woman!

Izumi:  You're a heck of a dancer, Chantons!
Chantons:  You are the dancing queen
                 Young and sweet
                 Only seventeen
                 Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine

Pippin:  Don!  Laurie is off limits!
Don:  Umm, we're just talking...
Pippin:  Well...stop it!

Izumi:  Is she mocking me?  Alright, Kaila Feng is not an option.
Kaila:  (mocking tone) Kaila Feng is not an option, blah blah blah, I'm not a vampire anymore, fear me!
Pippin:  ...but she's pretty...
Izumi:  No!
Pippin:  But Rieko said Chantons gets to choose.
Izumi:  (sigh) Fine.

Kaila:  So I'm totally still an option.  He'll pick me since I'm so edgy!
Valerie:  Umm, I'm blue, so it's obviously going to be me.
Guadalupe:  Well, I have the blue hair, so I'm pretty sure he's going to pick me.
Wren:  Pretty sure I don't stand a chance.  Then again, those of us who aren't Laurie are all in that same boat.
Izumi:  Especially Kaila!
Kaila:  I heard that!!
Pippin:  And so, we transition seamlessly into Chantons' teen years with him still not showing favoritism towards any girl other than Candy...
Candy:  Because I'm beautiful!
Pippin:  and Abernathy is simply waiting for his elder years to arrive.  Smooth sailing at this point.

Oh dear, Pippin!  You are really pursuing pollinating perfection with a gusto!
What a pity Akira couldn't adopt a son to raise in the Took Household before he kicked the bucket. Or are you only into the elderly pollinators?

Sorry, ladies, but no one even comes close to Laurie!
And I didn't realize until the dance party how much the Took schnozzle lives on with Chantons!

What a relief to note that Izumi is still looking so young! Happy adult birthday, awesome lady!
Congratz, too, to Abernathy for maxing his career!

Hip-hip-hooray! Dance on, folks, dance on!
