Jungle Bees in Other Worlds?
« on: May 19, 2018, 07:17:13 PM »
Can bees that need special spray venture to other worlds besides the jungle?

I just saw a bee in Oasis Springs at Yuma Heights where my Sims are collecting stuff.  Should my Sims be worried?  Their bee spray is on their home lot.

The bees have been in the Base Game worlds since launch.  :) Particularly noticeable in the Oasis Spring park near the front fishing hole. It's neat when you notice the little FX things tho for sure.

Oh, I thought the bees were new.  I've always seen butterflies in the base game worlds.  I love to find little things in this game, too!  Thanks Play 8).  I'll look for bees the next time my Sims fish at that fishing hole.

I'm glad they seem to be bumble bees, because those I like - they're fluffy and docile. Other bees, not so much :)

Forgot to say in my first reply but any insects in the home worlds are just there for effect, so no collecting etc or stinging and so on as there is in the holiday/vacation worlds.

But that doesn't go for the bees in the hive which always seem enraged and even follow my Sims into the house!  Right?  How to deal with them?  Would the spray work on them?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

The bees are a new addition to the game since I made that post. As you know bees come with Seasons DLC and to calm enraged bees down all you have to do is click on the Bee Box and 'Calm the Bees'. The higher your relationship is with the bees the less likely your sims will be stung. Also bees from the Bee Box are not in the world in general, unlike the FX insects in the base game worlds, the Bee Box needs to be placed by a player.

** edited to add: By keeping a daily routine of bonding with your bees at last twice a day if not more if your sims have time, your bees probably wont reach the point of being enraged. You also have to check that the bees are not needing a mite treatment as this will kill them. Just hover over the bee box with your mouse to check their stats, and click on the bee box to interact with the bees.

Thank you, Playalot.  I was really surprised when they followed my Sim into the house.  They were fine until she did a mite treatment.

The updated information about bees is very helpful, Play!  I haven't played too much with bees in the beebox, yet :).

In a way, it would be funny, if bees could die by becoming enraged, like Sims can 8)!
