How to research feelings?
« on: November 25, 2018, 03:14:13 AM »
My Sim, highly confident, made it straight away at her first audition.  Now she has to research the flirty feeling and do more with her comedy skill.  How do you research the flirty, or any other, feelings?  Comedy skill I guess involves telling more jokes, right?
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Sometimes you can click on the Sim and the option for "Research Flirty" will become available, then it will make your sim flirty (only if you don't have any other powerful emotions going at the time) and then do flirty interactions about 4 - 5 times. For the comedy, you can either tell jokes to other sims, or practice telling jokes on the mic. Hope this helps!

My sim had to research angry...  :( An impossible task, all his angry moodlets kept getting buried by positives - I decided that his watcher being angry was good enough and so resorted to cheating.

@Playalot I have that issue too. Bad moodlets are constantly buried by positive moods. I too can't seem to research angry because of that. I just forget it as even if I am not 100% prepared With my acting (and every other skill) maxed and the rest of the prep is done I know I will still nail the filming and earn max rewards for the gig. I just have to play it safe in the one scene that it affects. As long as the rest of the prep is done, your acting skill is maxed, and you are confident when filming missing one prep assignment isn't going to affect the gig. I learned this as my sim is too happy with lot perks, cheerful, and the like being angry to research anger is nearly impossible.

I was having the same issue.. so I used to wait until first thing in the morning when the sim would wake up with only a happy moodlet, wait until some of their other needs have dropped a bit, travel to Oasis Park and then click on the sim and say research anger.. I know.. WAY too much time and patience on my hands! haha

I even had my Sim shout forbidden words!  Nothing could keep her mad enough.  Soooo, in a brief moment of anger, had to choose to paint an angry picture which led to more angry pictures which did the trick.  Sure was a lot of work but she nailed it with all the risky bits done.

Bravo @Joria  As soon as I catch any of my sims in angry mood I get them to paint a picture too... still haven't managed that with this sim much to my frustration. He's so full of himself that getting into fights and so on just makes him confident.  ::)

I know, right?  Playalot hopefully they won't have to research anything harder!  Oh, tense!  What if they have to be tense?  Hope I didn't curse myself with that.  Hmmm, maybe I should have a gallery of emotional paintings just in case.

Thanks for making me laugh, @Playalot
I'm sure I won't be laughing once I've actually started playing Get Famous, whenever that might be.  ;D
