Hatching Dragons, an Immortal Dynasty. New chapter. 01/11
« on: November 25, 2019, 01:07:02 PM »
Hello everyone, after a long time away from this beautiful forum, I decided to try an immortal dynasty again. This is a pending subject and something I try to do since the first day I registered here.
For this attempt I’ve deactivated seasons and into the future, for better performance and opportunities. Celebrity system off.

The founder is Willow Hatch, who is the first heir of my also failed townie decadynasty, daughter of Emma Hatch and Gobias Koffi. I fell in love with her from the beginning, she’s amazing. In the decadynasty I kept her alive through makeovers until the very end, which was the fourth generation. Technically, I never failed the challenge but the save became so corrupt with bugs and glitches that I had to give up, also the game had started to cull all my work (pollinators’ children). Impulsive as I am sometimes, I deleted all the photos from the server (which I later regretted).

When I thought about making a new attempt in the immortal dynasty, she was one of the first ideas I had for a founder (along with an Agnes clone but that isn't possible). So Willow went through CAS to be a clean slate, have a makeover and change her skintone to the pale rainbow slider because we’re disembarking in Drago Valley. Yay for rainboos!

Her traits and Lifetime Wish are the same as before and I have the intention of let her supermax guitar because that was the first option for her in the decadynasty but due to lack of time (10 days to Elder) and not enough opportunities (six or seven) I had to make the call to change it to charisma.

Chapter 1: Loch Ness Monster

Willow and I arrived early in Dragon Valley to start a new life…
Willow: Oh it’s you again.

… full of new opportunities.
Willow: Opportunities for you, you mean, because I already had a successful life with completed requeriments, married with two childeren and two granchildren. A life free off a watcher, you know.
Ceres: Yeah, I know and sorry but I want to finish a immortal dynasty and you’re my best option.
Willow: Well what can I say? I’m already here in this empty plot of land so… What are your plans?
Ceres: Well, to start your supermax is going to be guitar.
Willow: Are you sure? Not cooking or gardening? I would think that these are the most obvious and safe options.
Ceres: Yes, and if you were any other founder who I had created from scratch those would have been the options but I wanted you as you are so…
Willow: Guitar
Ceres: Guitar
Willow: Let me see then.

Ceres: What are you doing?
Willow: Searching the wiki for good candidates for helpers.
Ceres: Ok, good. But for future reference, I’ld prefer for you to not use the internet or anything that increases other skills for that matter.
Willow: Right, I know who we have to see first.

Two hours later…

Willow: That’s a really long drive, I hope someone is home.
Nessie Lochlan: Comming!

Willow: Hi, I’m Willow Hatch and I’m funding an immortal dynasty.
Nessie: Hello, Willow, nice to meet you, let's pretend we're not seeing the O’Connells floating around us.
Willow: Yes, we’re totally talking about cooking and not about the panicking watcher thinking that the game is already glitching.
Ceres: Not panicking, no sir.

Nessie: Now that that’s normalized, let's go to my house and see what you have to offer me.

Willow: Okay, first, I want you to be my painter.
Nessie: Doable.
Willow: The mother of a future helper/pollinator.
Nessie: I don’t know about that, I’m happy without children.
Willow: My watcher understands you perfectly and if it wasn't because she needs to populate the town she wouldn't ask you to do it.

Nessie: Is your watcher here?
Willow: Yes, but you know what the rules are like, you can't listen to her until you're under her control.
Ceres: Tell her that I’m not that controlling.
Willow rolled her eyes.
Ceres: Ok, but at least I let you fulfill your wishes and form relationships with the sims that you want.
Willow: Well, that’s true.
Nessie: What’s true?
Willow: We’re talking about the controlling nature of the watchers, especially mine. She’s a little demanding in careers and skills but in the social part she lets us choose a lot.
Nessie: Not so bad, point in favor. Anything else you want to tell me?

Willow: Well you always have to think about the positive of being under a watcher. Makeover, rich (or a least comfortable) by the second week and impossibility of being eliminated from the game ahead of time and the best part, being a character in a story.
Nessie: Yes, the not culling is tempting… but the possibility that story progression will makes me a long-lived occult, too.
Willow: Yes, anything can happen, it’s all chance.
The older woman patted her chin thinking seriously.
Nessie: Well, the pros are more than the cons, so I'm in.

Willow: That’s the spirit! Welcome to my dynasty!

Two hours later (again). It took us longer to go to Nessie's house and return than to convince her to live with us.
Willow: This is my plot of land. Some day it’s going to be a large compiliations of boxes, also known as dynasty mansions.

Ceres: Welcome!
Nessie: AAAH! Don't scare me like that!
Ceres: Sorry!
Willow: You’ll get used to it.
Nessie: What’s that?

Ceres: That’s my welcome gift for you.
Willow: We’ve the painter. Now what?

Ceres: Now is time for the sculptor and at least one pollinator.

Welcome! That's the first chapter, I just started playing this challenge today so I don't have much to post, in a few days I will put another chapter. Until next time!

I missed Willow and her crew (best pollinator and stylist Iñaki is forever in my heart). I 100% don't miss pollinating in an immortal dynasty because of how precious household space is but I trust you for the work you've done in the past. ;) Plus Nessie seems a little ignored in DV dynasties. Like by comparison, I'm sure everyone with colorful skin has been used somewhere.

Ugh, Willow! Don't raise your social networking skill! (I always have such a rough time keeping my Sims off their phones. I've given up trying to save social networking as a supermax, it's worse than athletics....all my sims seems to sneak a level in somehow.) Good luck, and congrats on snagging your painter!

@Trip I miss her crew too, the best household ever. The game is almost inaccessible now although I have it saved just for the love I have for them. I'm reading your decadynasty (I'm going for Heiva part 4) and it makes me miss mine a lot.
I think Nessie is ignored for her age, half way into adulthood which is exactly the reason why I chose her; and her big eyes in a narrow face, gorgeous woman. Thanks for reading. :)

@Trident Yes, social networking is a headache to keep them away! ::) And you can't do sneaky things like leave a painting or sculpture half done or block access to a room. Thank you! I'm very happy with my painter. Edit: I just saw in your signature what you are doing a household skill project, I love that challenge, I'm so going to be reading it.

Chapter 2: Stalking a Cullen

In the last chapter, I left Willow the task of finding a sculptor, preferably a young adult who will (hopefully) become her future boyfriend/husband /worse is nothing half. Maybe you're wondering why a young adult? It’s for purely selfish reasons. Sculpting is the task that really bothers me in the challenge, doing all those ice sculptures to ensure that they don't melt is something I prefer not to have to suffer constantly. Having a young adult who can take care of not only Willow's but some pieces of her child too is a suitable solution for me. And why Willow’s partner? Because I prefer to reserve older men to be pollinators.
Willow: What Ceres meant with all that long introduction is that we already have someone in mind, the best thing is that we both agree it’s the pefect choice.
Ceres: I was just trying to update the readers.
Anyway, his name is Dermot Cullen and he’s a homeless townie working as a tattoo artist in the salon. He was in my “Willow’s posible partner” list but only if she was willing, I don’t like to force my sims to have any type of relationship with anyone, be it romantic or not.
Willow: Luckily for Ceres I was into him.
Ceres: Very much.

Willow could only talk to him a little before the salon closed and all interactions with him became inaccessible. The good thing is that despite having exchanged few words, Willow began to have all kinds of wishes with him like become friends, hang out, know his traits.

So with what was left of the day I made her do productive things like taking a guitar class and getting a job in the music career.

It’s was there where she meet her boss, Sean Kelly, and I received this notification.

Willow: He’s cute but he isn’t Dermot.
Ceres: I know, I realized that when you kept rolling wishes towards Dermot and nothing for Sean. Exactly the same as when you met Reme.
Story time:
Reme Keaton was Willow’s husband, when she met him she was dating someone who I don't remember. One look at Reme and all her wished were for him. At that time I remember planning the next house with that boyfriend but she had fallen hard for Reme and she wanted him so I changed all my plans for her. She’s acting the same way with Dermot.
Those are the thing that makes me love this game so much, her behavior is terribly consistent in two different saves.

The next morning, she autonomously called him which surprised me a lot, it’s was a long time since I see a sim do that without the help of mods. And the best thing? As soon as the call ended, he immediately called back. They are so cute.

Willow: For you I would go through seas and mountains, or at least one glass door.
Dermot: You say the most romantic things.

Willow: You’re like a masterpiece, look at all those beatifull tattoos.
Dermot: Oh stop, you’re making me blush.
Ceres: Or maybe it's just his makeup.

Unfortunately, the conversation had to end there since Willow had to go to her first day of work. At least they are friends now.

Meanwhile in the house, Nessie spent the whole morning painting so it was time for her to socialize a little and test whether the romance that EA created for her with Hugh Gray was viable or not.

Ceres: You seem excited to call him.
Nessie: I haven't talked to anyone for 8 hours.

First thing I discovered, there was attraction between them. The second was that despite testing their conflicting traits (he’s unflirty and she’s flirty) it never triggered, they flirted, hugged and kissed and the conflict never showed up.

And best of all, many autonomous actions between them.
Nessie: I really like him.
Ceres: I clearly see that. I think it’s time for the nooboo we talked about.

Nessie: Hugh, I really need your help to fulfil my watcher's plans.
Hugh: Everything to keep this town alive.

After that, the date ended but the man stayed to keep Nessie company anyway.

As soon as she got home, Willow quickly called Dermot, there’s no time to lose.
Dermot: So it's good that I already brought the bags, right?
Willow: Yes!

The bags are not the only thing that Dermot brought.  He had seven points in cooking, so he’s going to doing that beside sculpting. But that is not all! The best thing (or sim really) was that one of this household mates came with him.
Michael McCarthy had a couple of points in gardening so he’s going to be our gardener and first pollinator. And the best thing? He’s six days to Elder. Woohoo!

I forgot to take a screenshot when he arrived, he’s the purple-haired sleeping in the single bed, the one napping is Hugh Gray that I have to make him leave so Nessie could go to sleep.
Now some random things:

Autonomous heat of the moment kiss.

Very much acepted.
Willow: I’m irresistible.

Makeover for Dermot.

And for Nessie too.

And again I forgot to take a screenshot of him.
Michael: I hope it doesn’t happen again, there are only a few days left of this beautiful face.
Ceres: Next update, I promise.

And I finish this chapter with the picture of the future new member of the house.
In more information about Nessie, as soon as she got pregnant she rolled the wish to go steady with Hugh, so I fulfilled it, the next morning she wanted to be engaged and a few minutes later to marry him. So we have two women in the house who know what they want, unfortunately Nessie won't be able to get it but I plan on letting her have her romance in peace with her boyfriend.

Next chapter: we'll be looking for a photographer/pollinator.

Info about the helpers:
Nessie Lochlan: Flirty, Bookworm, Excitable, Vegetarian, Artistic. LTW: Star News Anchor.
Dermot Cullen: Good Sense of Humor, Daredevil, Grumpy, Easily Impressed, Ambitious. LTW: The Tinkerer.
Michael McCarthy: Flirty, Daredevil, Family-Oriented, Childish, Friendly. LTW: Hit Movie Composer.

@Chubling Thank you! You're so kind.
@Trip Homeless townies are part of my games very often, especially if they are from Dragon Valley, they're all hidden jewels.
@Rhoxi Thank you! I know you like pollinators and rainboos, your two immortal dynasties were some of the completed ones I read when I signed up in this forum.

Sorry for the delay in this update, december was a chaotic month. I had this half-done chapter since then but I didn't have the time to finish it until today.

Chapter 3: Pollinating the flowers.

As I promised, a close up of Michael. He’s one gorgeous sim, at least to me, I like his (older) sophisticated face.

Continuing the story, Willow went in search of the second pollinator. My intention was to incorporate Daric Ordhen to the household but the game threw me a curvedball…

Willow: Hmmm.
Ceres: Hmmm.
Daric: Story progression changed your watcher’s plans?
Willow: Apparently.
Daric: Ok, maybe in a few years?
Definitely. The game curveball wasn’t what I was expecting but I can't complain, it gaves me a possible pollinator or husband for a future generation.
Of course, this leaves me with plan B.

I love Quinn a lot, don't misunderstand me, but I was hoping I could include sims that aren't used so regularly and we all know that he’s one of the most used sims in stories in Dragon Valley.  My other option was Riley Cromos but I want to use his daughter in the future so...

Quinn: Of course I join your house, everyone wants to see this face.
Quinn aside, see something interesting in the screenshot? Maybe something small in the background? Purple? That’s my first pollinator doing his magic.

Emma Delaney couldn’t stay long with Michael because she had to go to work but at least they had the first contact.
Quinn is going to be the photographer of this generation, so for now I decided to leave him in his career despite the questionable work clothes.

Now the dynasty is underway… WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Ceres: One second, Willow, one second I don’t put my eyes on you and what do you do? Scare me to death, that’s what you do.
Willow: I just wanted to see if you were alert.
Ceres: Sure, you were. Dermot! Come here to take care of this!

Errr I was talking about the cooking, I swear.  Better let's keep talking about pollinators.
Quinn’s first victim is Aislin Walsh and this shot pretty much describes their relationship, or lack thereof.  She’s always running away from him.

Who is succeeding is Michael, Emma is very into him.

They’re in the romantic interest stage, so Emma is ready to see the rabittholes’ interiors.
To make them try for baby and since I had never used the mausoleum for these purposes, I took advantage of they  proximity to it to make them do a tur but the option never show up. I don't know if they can't do it in the mausoleum or it just didn't appear on this visit.

Emma had to go to work after the date so Michael returned home to work a little in the garden. No screenshot for Quinn since all he has done is take pictures and be rejected by Aislin.
The next day was a new chance for pollinating, so Michael invited Emma to a new date, this time to the theater, she gladly accepted.  While I was waiting for them to leave the rabitthole, Aislin Walsh appeared there so I sent Quinn immediately to the place, only to arrive just when she was leaving.

Apparently I will have to give up on her. At least this visit helped me find out about two things; One, Aislin is now a vampire; two, Quinn found someone who is interested in him.

If Aislin's gesture is of regret then I'm sorry there is no room for doubt in these dynasties!
Quinn: Actually you should say that there is no room in having doubt to fall for me.
Ceres: Whatever you say, Quinn.

Cassidy Predergast is a fairy and has one spot open in her house, so her interest is very much welcome. Although this time she didn’t accept Quinn's advances much and prefers to sit on the bench on the other side of the theater.
And to further highlight Quinn's hard efforts, Michael left the theater with Emma in tow to show that he doesn't have those problems.
Michael: No one resists this face.

A short time later Aislin decided to return and engage Quinn in a conversation.

Apparently Cassidy didn’t like this change of heart and sent one of her children to interrupt them so she could be the one talking to him. Aislin left again.

The following photos are to show that the other members of the house also do productive but not so interesting things.
Willow playing the guitar at the park.

Dermot and Nessie doing what the do all day long.

As you can see Nessie is no longer pregnant. Why haven't I mentioned it so far? You can ask.
Nessie: She delated the screenshots of my nooboo’s birth.
Ceres: Unintentionally, of course. I was trying to organize them.
Nessie: It’s a boy, to nobody surprise. So here’s my beautiful boy in his toddler birthday.

At first I was going to choose a name from the theme that I decided for Willow's heirs to name him but in the end I decided to give Nessie her own theme. Since she’s named after an aquatic monster, he’ll be too.
Here’s  Jörmundgander Lochlan, to which we are all going to call him by his diminutive, Jor. Named after one of Loki Odinson children, the mythological god not the marvel one (it’s nothing against the mcu it’s just because reading history and mythologies is my one of my favorite hobbies).

I think he’s a mini Nessie with pink skin. His trait are athletic and artistic and his favorites are indie, shawarma and spice brown.
And as always happens at this point, I am going to spam the chapter with photos of the child of the house.

I'm sorry, I know it's a lame joke but I couldn't resist it. Jor screenshots spam will be the next update.
Until next time.

I give myself one free "overused townie card" too. All's forgiven if there really was anything to forgive, it's just a collection of 3D meshes in a game! Too bad Quinn didn't have the good grace to become a long-lived supernatural for a twist. I like him but I also like long-lived supernaturals.

@Trip Quinn usually transforms into a occult sim in the first days of my games, I waited a little over a week to find the second pollinator to give time to see who was converted and who wasn't of the sims I had in mind for the job.
@Chubling Michael is quickly becoming one of my favorites in this generation, which I didn't expect. He's not only a good pollinator but he helps a lot in the house. Quinn  is his opposite but keeps me entertained with his misadventures.

Chapter 4: The first results

Michael is in charge of teaching Jor his skills, basically because he has the family oriented trait.

And so his birthday surprised him in the midst of caring for the smallest of the house.

Michael: Watcheeerrr
Ceres: A makeover for you, darling.

Pretty good for an elder, my sims always get their color back, I don't like white hair in sims 3 for some reason.
There's another person helping Michael with Jor's upbringing. Himself.

Sometimes I feel like he's judging me. Although as I said Michael is the one who pays the most attention to him.

For his part, Quinn is buying everything the consignment store has to offer, but the expensive camera doesn’t appear.

But his other task finally began to move forward.

Quinn: What do you think if we fill the last free slot you have in your house?
Cassidy: Oh Quinn that exactly what I always wanted, another child to take care of.
Ceres: Now make good use of the only slot available in her household and give me a fairy nooboo, please.
Quinn: Do you mind if you…
Ceres: Of course, of course, I leave you to your task.

Anyway, I didn't go too far because I wanted to hear if the bells (yes, they chimed).
After that I went to see what my beloved founder was doing.

Ceres: Errr
Willow: …

I guess there aren't many exciting things in Willow's life right now, working and skilling is all she does.
Ceres: Michaaael??? Are you doing something more entertaining right now?

Micahel: Is visiting my very pregnant romantic interest a few hours before the baby is born interesting enough?
Ceres: Yes! It’s my first pollinator nooboo of this save!
Emma: I'm feeling all the love right now.
Fast forward a couple of hours and…. It’s a boy!

The next day we wasted no time and invited Emma back to the house.

Darling Emma you’re invited to stay for the next two days and listen to all the children's music you want.

I hope that was because of the impending pregnancy and not a response to my kind invitation.
Willow: Don't worry watcher I have everything covered.
Ceres: Thank you, honey.

Nothing like playing guitar to attract uncontrollable sims and keep them from leaving.
Nessie: Watcher! Why is this woman more important than me???

Ceres: It’s not, sweetheart. I just want her to give me twins before she become an elder. It’s only a couple of days.
Quinn: Well, I have to interfere and say there’s another important woman.

Quinn: Look her baby bump.

Quinn: Mmmm…
Ceres: Well, this is awkward.
No matter let's take a look forward, exactly one day to be specific.

And the best of all? He is a fairy!

With this I reached 25 screenshot so I’m going to finish the chapter. In a few days I will have another update because I have about 300 more photos. In my country we have been in quarantine since March 20, so I had a lot of time to play this dynasty. In fact, in the game the second generation is already a toddler.
Until next chapter!

I feel bad for being excited for the results of quarantine simming BUT as long as we're all healthy there's nothing else for us to do.

Congrats on your first babies! I always think they're the hardest because everyone's so busy or miserable when you start a dynasty.

On Tuesday morning, while I was playing sims I must say, there was an electric shock that affected half the block where I live. It was quite problematic because all of us who were affected had consequences in our homes.
Particularly in my case, it broke the fridge, the washing machine, two TVs and my desktop, which were the things that were on at the time. With the neighbors we're trying to make the electric company take care of the losses, but its a process that will take a long time. To make matters worse as my country has been in quarantine for almost two months, the courts are in judicial fair only working in a limited way, so we don't know if we can make a demand at the moment.
I have a techy friend who looked at my desktop and told me that at least the source and the disk were damaged and that he's not sure my info and archives can be recovered. I only use this pc to play games, so I don't have valuable information, except for the games saves. It has been months since I did a back up, I looked in my external disk and in my laptop but I don't have back ups of this dynasty.
As for priorities, the fridge and the washing machine come first of course, so I don't know when I will be able to buy the hardward that my pc needs (or a new one). Months I guess.
For now I'm going to install the sims on the laptop and try to make a new dynasty. I have two ideas for that, one is to download Willow from this forum (thank goodness I uploaded her here because the other beautiful sims that resulted from the decadynasty are only on the desktop). The other idea arose when looking for the back ups I found the last Ragnum Immortal Dynasty's save and I felt nostalgic, so maybe I'll use some of them to start a new one.
Anyway, in a few days I'll come back with a decision. If I continue Willow's I'll be using this thread. If I start a different one then I'll put this on the graveyard. If by some miracle it turns out that I didn't lose anything from my desktop, then I'll ask to be removed from there.
For now I'll be reading the stories and enjoying the sims through others simmers.

Good luck with whatever's to come. I can't fix what's physically broken but I'm here for all the other advice AND handling any weird situations with threads.

Thank you guys. I'm testing the sims on my laptop and seeing what EP it'll handle well, so I think I'll start this dynasty with Willow again in a couple of days.

A Peek to the Future

It's alive! That's all I want to say. Of course, I mean this story. The Hatch's save files weren't affected and I was able to get them back, so this story is going to live again. I still have to sort thing out and remember exactly where I was going with this. Also, the game is a little ahead of the story (second gen is a toddler and Jor is a teen) and I have more than 150 images that I need to organize. I think I'll have something ready in a couple of weeks.

A peek to the future: Willow rocks adulthood.

What great news! Give me a poke if you need any moral support for guitar/the music career I guess, though Willow's certainly looking fine with everything that's going on.

@Trip Willow's doing fine with the guitar supermax for now, she has six opps for the skill and is half way her adult age so I think she's going to make it. I'm still making her work on the charisma challenges in case she has to go for that skill again.

Chapter 5: From the Ashes

Or how this story is not dead! So happy.

I start this update with Quinn elder birthday.

Quinn: Why watcher? whyyy? All those people in here and All no one came to celebrate with me, I'm all alone. On top of that I lost my colors in addition to my youth.

Ceres: Don’t worry, the makeover is the cure! Look how colorful you look while holding your fairy son.

In other news, Michael had twins, kidnapping Emma for two days to make her listen to children's music has paid off. Sadly, one of those kids will get stuck as a toddler (according to Michael's family tree) even though his brother is already a teenager in the game. I’m trying for less kids for every pollinator to evade this but it keeps happening. I had the same problem with one of Quinn’s daughters.

Putting my troubles aside, it’s time for another elder birthday.
Nessie: Why I can’t have a normal birthday? It’s my last.

Nessie: I forbid you to show the sorry clothes that I aged up in.
Ceres: Ok, only the post makeover.

And another birthday…

I don’t remember his new trait. I don't have it written down and I promised myself that I wasn't going to open the game until I did a couple of updates (which I know I'm going to break).
He looks like a Nessie’s male version, the only thing he got from his father is the skin color. I’m so happy about that, he’s going to populate the town with mini Nessies (I hope).

Willow: Too many birthdays, watcher. Time for something different.

Dermot accepted. With this I’m waiting for the corresponding wishes to fire up, because for now neither of them has expressed the desire to marry.

As for the pollinators, their elder birthdays didn’t stop them to seek new victims partners.  Michael’s new flame is Siobahn Murphy.

While Quinn went for another long lived occult, vampire Aislin Walsh.

One night, Quinn stayed at her house and I noticed there was a pudding face living there. The next morning, I found this. I like to think he’s helping them forming a family, leaving aside the cheating part of course.

And… another birthday. This time Dermot become an adult. No makeover for him, I like the way he looks like this.
Willow: I like it, too.

That night he had a special celebration with his fiancée.

A couple of days later… Second gen is on their way.

Fast forward another couple of days and is time for the hatching of the first dragon.

Willow: Watcher! I’m really worried.
Ceres: Don’t fret, this is easy. Others sims had babies all the time.
Willow: No! I’m talking about supermaxing guitar.
Ceres: This is totally the right time to think about that, sure.

The one who wasn't worried at all was Quinn. As everyone yelled around Willow, he was enjoying a quiet afternoon.
Quinn: I think I’m hearing some noises.
Ceres: The second gen is being born.
Quinn: Ah okay then.

Here’s little Mushu, the first of Willow’s seven dragons, he’s athletic and disciplined. So yes, he’s going for a martial arts supermax, and yes, it’s because of China I chose the name. I have fun with that.

As not to break with this chapter’s flow, the next day there were not one but two birthdays. First Willow.

Ceres: That unfortunate hair.
Willow: Watcher!

Ceres: Just wait a couple of minutes because we had another birthday to celebrate first.

Jor: I’m going to be handsome.
Ceres: I’m thinking more of the pretty type.
Jor: No fun, Watcher, no fun.

Willow: Now watcher?
Ceres: Yes, of course.

A new look for Willow, so her Adult museum pieces will look a little different from her young adult ones.
And speaking of the museum, I end this update with Willow young adult pieces.

Doing this update I realized that I have more screenshots of Michael and Quinn entering and leaving the theater with their respective babies' mothers than of what is happening in the house, so I preferred to put them aside because they are basically all the same.

I noticed that the guitar ops started to really pour in when my sim was an adult too. She supermaxed the skill and maxed her career right before elderhood, though at the expense of having an heir right against the wire immediately afterwards. I've never had pregnancy or maternity leave affect skill ops though, I'm just trying to stretch things out.

I actually have things to discuss about skill ops and townie babies but I figured they might be better off on a more broad thread.

Anyways! I still feel like Hugh gave something to Jor but I can't put my finger on it. I guess he's more confident in aging up than Willow was, she's probably fine but I also feel like a midlife crisis is coming, kid or no kid. It's mean to not show us the birthday!

It's really nice when my female townies end up with other women, both for making me feel nice about pollination (do YOU want a pudding donor?) and generally just warming my heart. Not enough of it has happened in my dynasty saves. Supposedly it's influenced by how many same-sex relationships you have in your own household but there was plenty of that on my end!

Also I appreciate the use of maternity-enabled content so I don't feel so alone with my endless choices.

I supermaxed the guitar skill just one before and the sim was an adult just days before her elderhood and it's seems that Willow goes for that way too, I think she's going to make it.

That's a thread that I would follow and contribute without a doubt.

I know what you mean with something of Hugh in Jor but I still couldn't find what it is. I'm thinking maybe the eyes, at first glance they look like Nessie's but Hugh has big eyes too, but like I said I'm not so sure. Jor is very fun to play, he comes across like a very confident sim and I have great plans for him.
Luckily neither Willow nor Dermot had a crisis, I'm sure the game will compensate for this with the next generation. I see Willow like a free spirit, she's always in a good mood and wishes simple things that are easy to grant so I think things like age doesn't bother her. Give her her guitar and that's all, she's one of my all time favorite in game born sims. As for her birthday, I realized that I had no screenshot of it while writing the chapter, and I felt guilty not only for her but for others too for not celebrating  theirs either. Such a bad watcher.

I was surprised by that couple and very pleased so I had to include it in the update of course, it's not so often I see that in EA progression. I don't have same sex couples in the house right know (right know being the key phrase) so it could be the reason. I tend to let my sims choose their romantic partners, not including pollinators for obvious reasons, so I only start to give them a little help when I had a couple of generations of just straight couples. Eight generation without same sex couples? Yeah, not very realistic and I like a little of reality in my sims games even in silly funny stories like this one. But seeing how the next generation of sims is going, I don't think this is going to be a problem.  ;)

I love them! The cc I use doesn't usually include clothing, but maternity-enabled content? yes, please.

Chapter 6: A Happy Day… Sort Of

This chapter was supposed to tell the joys of a wedding. For which I spent several minutes decorating the house’s yard with a mixture of Willow and Dermot's favorite colors. All the effort for nothing, because an hour before the wedding began the repowoman showed up and took my decoration away.

Then she dared to take away Jor toddler’s photography, the one when he was a sleeping on the floor.

While this was happening, the guests were arriving. They all went straight to the cakes left since the morning on the kitchen table where Jor and Willow's birthdays had been celebrated.

For her part, Willow was upstairs competing with Nessie and Jor for who got to the little one first.
Willow: Mushu is my son.
Nessie: This is the closest I'll get to be a grandmother.
Ceres: And your reason, Jor?
Jor: Practicing for the future? I really don't know what I'm doing here.

I wanted to take the reins of this wedding a little, so I sent everyone to the backyard, only Willow obeyed me.
Willow: This is taking forever.

Let's move on with this even though no guest is in the right place. Here I wanted to do a scene about Willow walking down the aisle, it didn't turn out the way I wanted, Dermot seems bored and the bride is looking to the side instead of the groom.

I wanted Quinn to take some photos of this event, but he glitched out and he just stood there with Mushu in his arms without responding to my commands.

Quinn: That's not correct, Watcher. I'm here enjoying the special moment of two of my closest friends.
Ceres: You? The man that was reading a book while Willow was in labor?
Quinn: That doesn't matter now, look at the bride and groom are exchanging vows.

In the end the guests approached the wedding, although only half of them seemed to be paying attention.

Certainly not Michael, who seemed more interested in scaring Nessie.

By now I stopped worrying and let everyone on free will. Willow immediately took over, first cutting the cake and then entertaining the public with her guitar.

When most of the guests had left, Jor approached his father.
Hugh: Wow, you have grown a lot.
Jor: Well, I'm not a baby anymore.
Awkward moment. It’s my fault, I never called him to the house because Nessie never had wished related to him so I didn’t bother with him.

By the time the party was over, I was disappointed that I couldn't get some photos, so I resetsim Quinn and re-created the scene. The dark sky behind them gave it a nice touch.

Willow and Dermot enjoyed the wedding night despite everything.

I have to start updating this thread more often but I'm having trouble writing this story. I'm not feeling it, maybe it's because I still have screenshots from March of last year and they're all over the place. I'm still having playing the dynasty, though.

I almost wanna call it a beautiful wedding. One errant repo-woman but at least two pregnant townies, Hugh actually being an attentive father, the bride and groom looking great, etc.

I laughed at the repo man arriving to steal you stuff right after you finished! It sounds like something that would happen on a real housewife episode. It's so rude! And then to steal a baby picture! Who made the repo man so angry?!

My weddings always end up chaotic as well. They never went to use the chairs! But everything turned out well in the end and more babies will be arriving soon!
