After years being away from this forum, and losing access to my old account. I have returned! I bring you, the new Sims 3 Starlighter Dynasty!
Find the original story here (don't judge me too hard on the writing i was 13 lol) (also please don't call me Kay anymore, I have since come out as trans and go by Alex

The beginning

After many tries before, Koryn Starlighter felt the call once again. It was time to begin her next dynasty attempt. Only this time, something was different... there wasn't an annoying voice constantly nagging her in the back of her mind. This time, she was all on her own. She packed her bags and took herself to the place it all began. Sunset Valley. She had changed her wishes to be a writer, and wanted to do most of the beginning work on her own, so she decided to be a gardener.

And with that, I give the reigns to her. Everyone meet Koryn.

Chapter 2

So... I guess it's my job to keep track of all this since the watcher isn't around. I'll be passing this book from heir to heir and we will all be talking about our experiences in this journey.
But anyway, onto the fun stuff. I moved to Sunset Valley, as you all know. But I moved quite quickly in getting a spouse, so quick that I forgot to take screenshots until he was moved in!

Can you see who it is?
I asked him to move in shortly after we started dating, and a few days later I proposed.

Of course he said yes

And with that, we became husband and wife.
That's all I have for now, but I'll check back in soon!

Thank you! I'm glad to be back, and even if it's dead it will not stop me from completing this dynasty

TS4 has been boring me to tears recently so it's refreshing to come back to 3, everything has so much more personality.

Chapter 3

Whew! It hasn't been too long since I updated my journal but it feels like a lot has happened! In my last entry I married the love of my life, Christopher. And just recently he got enough skill to paint my portrait!

Now onto his next challenge, can he complete 25 ice sculptures in.... 10 days?

My poor man, dynasty spouses work so hard don't they.
On some other news, with him being able to paint portraits now...

I'm expecting! It felt like no time passed before I went into labor

And had my little girl!

Chapter 4

My baby girls infant days absolutely flew by, and next thing we knew it was time to blow out the candles.

Look at my baby girl! Portia is beautiful, she is wonderfully excitable, and artistic!
I will do my best to not spam you with photos of Portia, but here are a few highlights.
(author note: where did she get that hair color??? it's too light to be chris', and its not red???)

Christopher spent most of his time sculpting, trying to get done in time to do my YA sculpture... but we still made time for each other in our new bedroom.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say I found a dusty old lamp... I tried to clean it, and a genie came out! I decided to wish for fortune, just to help us out. Here is our new home.

Then, it was time for another birthday... Just after Christopher did my sculpture, it was my Adult birthday!

I feel... strange. Not ready for this. I still have to make all of my best friends, I've been focusing too much on my skills and career, that I've neglected the friendship requirement.
I can do this, though. I must.

Well, on a lighter note. I will end this with one more birthday, Portias. Her toddlerhood flew by as she learned her skills. We were ready for this. But, one last snuggle from mama.

Then, it was time for my baby girl to grow up.

She says hello!

I'm moving pretty quick this time, but I want to finish this!

There was a catastrophic computer crash and I pretty much had to reload everything, and my Starlighter save will no longer load... I am devastated because I was on generation 4 in game.

I have an idea of how to write this into my story, though. So at least there's that. But, it will be a few days before the next update, and I may also be moving the story to a blog on tumblr or wordpress or something for easier image hosting.

I will continue to update in this thread with stats and important updates on the immortals, but the in depth story will be hosted elsewhere.

I am beyond frustrated. Maybe fifth times the charm?

Have you gone to the technical help board yet (or even EA Answers, I've gotten good help there before). When it comes to fixing truly broken files, a lot of dynasty rules go out the window at our own discretion, especially when you're a few gens in.

Unfortunately the problem lies with my computer and i lost all my sims in the bin + my saves with a reinstall

ill probably just continue it in this thread, but i started it this morning and im already decently far with gen 2 having been born and its going even better than the last try! so im not too upset anymore

Chapter 5

Whew! We had a bit of a scare with "game crashes" and "lost files" whatever that means. But, despite all of that we are back.
Portia got right to work posing for her portrait and sculpture, she takes it very seriously as you can see.

With Chris caught up on his skills, and me doing really well with my requirements (supermaxed gardening + lvl 5 career), we finally got to spend some time together.

I quickly noticed a craving for watermelons...

Wonder what that could be. Oh! Do you also notice what I'm next to in that one? It's a photobooth! We've been having a lot of fun with it.

Before we knew it, our little girl was off to school. She struggles a bit with her homework but she made it up to an "A" in no time.

I've been getting sick quite often... I even threw up outside the grocery store a few days ago!

Oh boy

When I lost my save, I went back like a generation and a half so now this is Almost caught up to me, I might double update today to get caught up but we'll see. Art school just started for me today, so I'll be quite busy with that and I'm not sure how often updates will come, but don't worry I'll still be here

I'm not going anywhere this time and I will finish this dynasty.

Chapter 6

Well, we left off with my pregnancy announcement. And nothing else happened over the next three days, so now I'm in labor!

This birth took what felt like ages, but finally I came out with my second daughter. Alya Starlighter.

She loves the outdoors, but can be a bit insane so... this will be fun. (note: i randomized traits cause why not.)
Portia is one of the most beautiful children I've ever seen, with my lips and nose, and her fathers eyes and skin... (still not sure where that hair came from though.. why does this always happen to Koryn)

However, her childhood didn't last long. A few days pass and now it's both her and Alya's birthdays.

I must say, Portia grew up quite beautiful! She grew into her love of sculpting and is quite savvy at it. She has a very artistic style, even with a favorite color like brown.

Alya, is also a very cute toddler but she got her fathers mouth! The Steel lips persist. (didnt get a pic of her makeover but here she is with her doll, Peaches)

To end this entry, I'd like to document some changes to the yard. My garden moved to my side of the house for quicker access, and we added a hot tub, a playground, and a wedding area that we'll get plenty of use out of. The garden is a bit bare right now, for some reason a lot of plants glitched and would no longer produce, so I had to start small again. I'm not worried though, I'm at level 8 of my career with time to spare.

Still not quite caught up to where I am, but I can only fit so many birthdays in an update haha
Not sure when the next one will be, I want to get ahead. And again with school starting this week will be busy, but maybe I can play enough to get a decent update on Wednesday or Thursday. If not, definitely over the weekend!

The table of contents means you've made it! I wonder if Portia even got anything from Chris. That might be a first to not get a thing from him...or she has his eyes. I'm not sure.

I believe she has his eyes, definitely his eye color cause Koryn has bright green eyes. Other than that, she got his skin tone and that's it, she's all a mama's girl

Chapter 7

A lot of important things have happened... Portia went to Prom and had a great time, won prom queen, and kissed a boy she likes.

Alya aged into a beautiful little girl

And Christopher became an adult

Oh, and I was abducted by aliens. Almost forgot about that part.

Christopher and I celebrated our anniversary, and so we went out to dinner

A couple more birthdays...

Next time... I felt a strange call to the shack in the very back of the lot.

Probably gonna double update again cause I'm excited about the next chapter!! I know I'm moving really quick through the first gen, I plan to bring more story into it later on

Chapter 8

I felt something pulling me, calling out to me almost, begging me to go deeper into the catacombs beneath our lot. I knew they were there, but I had never seen them...

I walked down a small spiral staircase, and I was met with a hallway that seemed to never end.

I turned to the right in the one room that was lit, and there was Christopher and his skill achievements... I hoped more photos and a sculpture would be added before we lost him.

I walked down the hallway, through eight empty rooms. Someday these would be lit with memories, but it's only just begun...
I finally reached a room with a door at the end, the call was telling me to walk through. I did and I came into a small room with a crystal ball in the center.

I sat down next to it and put my hands around it, I immediately felt... different. I felt the watcher speaking to me. Asking about my requirements, if I had completed everything, all of these questions to ensure I broke no rules when I was on my own. I answered every one honestly, until one final question.

"Do you, Koryn Starlighter, truly wish to become immortal?"

I had to think. I had to consider what all of this meant. Yes, I needed to do it. But... I thought about my previous life, my children, my husband who I lost... and how I would one day soon enough lose Christopher, lose my second daughter, Alya. Was it worth this pain?

Finally, I said yes. And the gate behind me unlocked. I walked down another small spiral staircase...

I came into a room that looked like it belonged in my home, Dragon Valley. The call was growing stronger, but there was something I had to do first.

I made the dish with homegrown ingredients, and fresh caught deathfish. And I sat down, again hesitating. What would this feel like? Knowing that this would stop my body clock, making me live forever. Finally, I took a bite.

It's impossible to describe the feeling I felt when I bit into that ambrosia. I felt memories rushing back to me, of all my attempts, all my failed tries, lost saves, and loved ones who sacrificed themselves for this cause, all leading up to this moment. The warmth and sparkles surrounded me as I felt my body stop, I could feel my body freeze in time.
Then, the call grew ever stronger. It was pulling me down the hallway, where there were two doors, a red and a brown one.

There was a faint call coming from the brown, but that wasn't for me. I turned to the red and walked in the room.

It was there, right behind me. I turned and saw it, a dragon egg. Was this my reward?

"Your quest is no longer to rid the world of dragons, but to bring them back to life. They will not enslave you, they will bring light and life to the world. Starting with Sunset Valley."

I went up to it, and I talked to the egg, I'm not sure why but it felt right. Like it was speaking back to me.

I turned around and saw my museum, the remnants of my life.

I sat in the chair to rest, my part of this journey has come to an end. I am Koryn Starlighter, a daughter of starlight, and I am the first immortal.

HOO BOY I did it guys! I made it to my first immortal, and I gotta say this chapter was really fun to write. I wanted to introduce her dragon in this chapter, but it didn't hatch until later and I couldn't figure out how to write it in, so it'll be introduced in the next chapter.

Chapter 9

Oh, uhhh... so my mom came out of the weird basement and handed me this notebook. Saying it was my turn to document our family.
She thinks I don't know about the dynasty, didn't want to overwhelm me but I kind of figured it out. Why else would she give up her love of writing, or have me doing nothing but painting and photography my whole childhood?

Anywho, I don't really care. I'm just going to skip my awkward teenage years and go right to my YA birthday.

I think I look pretty dang good, don't you?
I have found... I am not that good at remembering to take pictures! But I'll sum it up. I went to graduation.

I graduated with honors, was valedictorian, and voted Most Artistic!
Then I invited over my good friend, Angel Keaton. He's a bit older than me... but I admit I've always had a bit of a crush.

I made a jump, and asked him out

He said yes! But, I wasn't satisfied. I asked another question...

Well.. I was so busy making sure dad got pictures of the wedding with his camera, that I forgot to take any! But here's us celebrating

Oh yeah, and right after my birthday before graduation I went on a trip to Shang Simla by myself, and got to visa lvl 3, and we got this beautiful vacation home!

I took the time to supermax painting!

But... I made sure to take some time off too

Shortly after we got home... I found out I'm pregnant!

Too bad that you missed the wedding shots because she was a gorgeous bride! Vacations are great for trying for baby but also giving yourself a few days to prepare.

Chapter 10

Well, I might as well just introduce my girls, as not much happened over the next few days.
That's right! Girls!

Here are the pride and joys of my life, Bellatrix and Chara! I think I'll keep which came first and their traits to myself for now

Dad aged into an elder, too... it's kind of hitting me that while time passes slowly for me, because I have the knowledge of living forever... It passes so quick for everyone else. My dad is my very best friend, even moreso than Angel, or my mom.

He still has some time left, he'll be able to see my girls grow up, but... nevermind.
I seem to have misplaced a lot of pictures of their childhood, so again I will sum it up.

Here are Bellatrix and Chara as children.

Quite gorgeous.

Bellatrix became quite good friends with... this thing named Peanut.

I thought she was bonkers, maybe insane, but I know for a fact she is not. She is Disciplined, Athletic, and Easily Impressed.
(Her sister is easily impressed, loves the outdoors, and a loner)

Anyway, dad wanted to indulge her and spent a lot of time working at the chemistry set... I wasn't sure until one day I look outside and Bellatrix is standing next to a glowing purple cloud the size of a small boy...

And next thing we knew, there was a new boy in the house! Welcome to the world, Peanut.

He really is a gorgeous child. Interesting traits, though... Klepto, brave, and friendly.
Next, they become teenagers

I'll have to take some pictures of the shots Chris got that are on the wall cause it was really beautiful! And the pictures came out great

One of the pictures is in her museum though, that'll be revealed when she reaches immortal.
