The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies impressions thread
« on: April 14, 2025, 12:45:04 PM »

Right after release of this pack I had some major health issues and was hospitalized for about a month. Anyway I am a bit better now and had my first playthrough of this pack dispite buying on release I barely started to play after said release so this will my first impression of the pack. I realize the pack been out for a while so a bit late for a first impressions thread. I surprised it doesn't even have its own board.

Anyway I started a paintings art business. It was fun I enjoyed it but profit was a bit too high as I got it 4 ways entrance fees selling their paintings selling my paintings in the business and teaching classes. I enjoyed it

I give the pack a solid B. How about you?

Like most packs in the last few years, a very nice world that could have been a bit bigger.

The overhaul to tattoos is a welcome improvement.

The fact that you can live in your place of business.  Finally!  Instead of the "you can't, because... you can't" situation with older businesses.

And unlike the retail stores from GTW, and the restaurants from Dine Out, your small business can be profitable!  With retail stores and restaurants, you were much better off just getting a job.  I had a pottery studio, and between selling the finished pieces and mentoring, I made quite a bit.  I found myself adding more household members and hiring them to keep up with all the customers.  Oh, and hiring household members is a big improvement too, because that money goes back into your pocket, and you can directly control their actions.
