Butler won't sleep!

Thanks, Joh ... Butler 3 [called 'something Hispanic' Hooks] has quite a large room, with plenty of space for his own Juice Bar, TV and some other nice items.  He behaved quite well today, and cooked Lobster Thermidor, so perhaps a few bonuses are appropriate

Please help me out. I hired a butler, set a bed for her and she won't sleep. I dismissed her and re-hired her and she still won't sleep. Should my sim command her to sleep? there is no option for that. Please help. Thanks!

I've had that happen, and I'm sure if what I did fixed the problem or if it was coincidence.  I unset the bed so it no longer belonged to him and then deleted it.  Bought new bed and set the bed again.  He started sleeping. 

Another time, it had to do with being able to access the bed.  I tested by ordering household sim to relax in his bed.  She howled the "footsteps" thought bubble and stomped her feet about not being able to get to it.  I rearranged the room and when she was able to relax in the bed, I unset/set it for the butler again.

I had a butler who wouldn't sleep.  She just kept passing out then drinking another cup of coffee.  I put the coffee maker in family inventory, and she soon started sleeping.
