The Memoirs of Laura Fearless, Part 12
Bye Bye

During twenty something minutes something has happened and we are greeted by a gray ghostly figure instead of the cheerful old woman. Her eyes are filled of wisdom, life and happiness, but they are soulless. This woman turns out to be Laura. Laura is dead, she is a ghost now.

In the meantime, the Reaper arrives. This time he is very regretful, but has to speak: "Oh, Laura. I hate to say, but you must come with me. I really don't want to take your soul, but it's not my decision. But..."

"Aw, friend, no worries. I have lived a happy life."
"Really? How? I heard you went through a lot of difficulties and complications in your lifetime."
"Maybe, but I have succeeded in raising five worthy kids for our society, for the world. Even though I would like to stay with them some more, I am ready to go. I want to go, I am very tired. I went all the way. It's time to get a recovery. Take me with you, Grim."
"Very well, Laura, very well."

In a few seconds, they shake hands as Laura jumps into nowhere. Her soul is gone. She, as a physical being is gone. But her soul will live in our hearts forever. Though, it may be tough for her children, considering their teenage status.

The sobbing of Nicholas and Clarice is heard clearly, as is Anna's scream. To be continued...~

Now to go write the final update. Ooh. The 13th! :o Haven't noticed till now.
In tears, but with two dramas over, I may blend the characters and create a comedy. Awesome, isn't it? Be on lookout for Destination Unknown: An Orphanage Project. ;)

The Memoirs of Laura Fearless, Part 13
Brave

Early in the morning, the funeral procession took place. Not really a huge ceremony, as there were just a few neighbors and the kids. Most of them left even before everything was over. But that's not the case.
Only little Nicholas stood still, sobbing. He kept on murmuring the words "Mummy, I love you..." multiple times. It seemed like he was her only child. But he wasn't. You see, Anna, Leo and Jackson were said to be "too horrified". To relax and "calm down", they took their inheritance and caught a fly to Al Simhara.
What about Clarice, you may ask. Well, being way too sensitive, she stayed home. Clarice fought her siblings to be there, but she was simply put to sleep. Of course, with a little help from the doctor. Thus, she was sleeping peacefully at the time.
Now, Nicholas is all alone, crying his heart out. He is very devastated.

As time flies, a stranger in black suit nears him. Nick already thinks that it is the caretaker who wants to shoo him from the cemetery. All of sudden, the stranger starts speaking.

"Hey", - he says.
"Hi? May I ask who are you?", - replies Nicholas, trying to hide his tears.
"Was she your mother? I am so sorry."
"Yes.. Mummy...", - bursts into tears Nicholas.
"We must be strong, boy. You know..."
"What? I cannot hold on, she was my mother! My mother!"
"She was mine too. I am Christopher Fearless. Nice to meet you, brother.", - answers the stranger.
"What? You? My brother?", - responds Nick, struck by lightning.
"Yes. Call me Chris. Come here, little bro."

"You know, I believe her soul is somewhere in the skies, watching us patiently. I wish I could be near her. She was a wonderful woman. You can consider yourself very lucky."
"Thanks. But it is just so difficult to face the fact."
"By the way, where are your siblings?"
"Eeh... Couldn't care less... On vacation."
"Gosh, that is unfair."
"Yea... Whatever, I may stay strong. I am stronger now, and I believe that I can achieve my goal."
"What goal? You're so young."
"I may become a better human. I shall help others. I may participate in the Orphanage Project. With or without Clarice. Thank you, brother."
"You're welcome. I guess I should leave now, agency calling. Bye!"
"Goodbye! It's a brave new start."

~Stronger than yesterday

Now it’s nothing but my way

My lonliness ain’t killing me no more,

 I’m stronger

That I ever thought that I could be, baby

I used to go with the flow,

 Didn’t really care ‘bout me,

You might think that I can’t take it, but you’re wrong

 ‘Cause now I’m stronger!~

Thanks heaps to everyone that took the time to read, post and comment on this (rather short) story. This marks my second drama, and story, finished fully. Don't fret, though. As I said earlier, my very first Orphanage Project will be launched sooner or later. It is called Destination Unknown. The two main characters seek peace in the world, they are Nicholas Fearless (from this same story) and Trisha Wainwright (from Born as Arlo). Thank you for your support, everyone! The story is officially finished. Hope you liked it. :)

Thanks guys! Chopsticks, they both participate in the Orphanage Project, so they don't have to meet each other, they are just selected out of many volunteers. ;)
