But... to get back ON the topic (which was something I've recently learned) is to anounce that those 'toychilds' as I will call these children now as being partly 'teddy bear' like, do have the same needs as normal sims, at least I can say as long as they are childs. For the rest I don't know yet. I can say this about the toygirls, for toyboys I just assume it would be the same.
But just like with vampires it could be that things will change after they have grown up to be a teen or further on as being young adult.

Hmmm... I wonder what the children of two IFs turned real would be like? Has anyone tried this?  :)

I'm guessing it'd just be the same? Maybe not, though..

Yes, it is the same. It's just a mix of those parents together, with the ability for the child to change it's form to doll. And ofcourse they can strut somewhere beside walking, which doesn't give another benefit than perhaps a funny animation for those who can use that in stories, movies etc.

Has anyone tried IFs with Vampires? I've accomplished this a few times, but in the one instance I had my IF/Vampire teen becoming a YA, the game glitched as he was transforming in to a vampire. Was it just my game, or is there a problem with that particular hybrid?

Hmm, good you've mentioned it. I have no experience with it but now I know I probably won't try it also.
Do you know if this glitch glitched your whole savefile, or just the sim?

The whole save file. It was a six generation family, at that. When he transformed, everything froze, and people disappeared. I worked through that part of the glitch...managing to get my entire family to show up (don't ask me how...it was mostly luck, and saving in the right place, and a whole lotta reloading and trying something different), but my IF/Vampire YA never fully became a vampire. His needs were still green, instead of the vampire purple, but he behaved like a vampire. And even though I got past the main glitch, every few minutes, my people would "pop" outside. One minute everyone is in bed, the next everyone is standing around outside. It was especially a problem when the family tried to attend graduation. I eventually gave up on the family.

Ow, that's to sad. I would have adviced you to try to save the sim to the bin to test him/her in another save file. I really would like to see how that would have turned out.
Could the hybrid take sunlight for example? I know that simbot hybrids are also having the sims moodlets, just like normal sims will have. They actually don't glitch games, same with mummy hybrids.

Oh, and don't worry to be offtopic here as you won't: you're still talking about children of imaginary friends, with the difference that one parent is an IF and the other is a vampire.

I haven't messed with it much, but wouldn't the IF have to be turned into a real Sim to get pregnant?  And if she's a real Sim, I don't think she can go back to toy form.

Not as in the little toy Pam! As in the moving about, living... ah, erm, toy state. Does that make sense? I really hope so. :P

If you click on the IF turned real, they can change back to IF form. It's like changing clothes.

Without leaving puddle of dirty cloths around. :P

My current project is mating my ghost sim with her IF. I'll let you know how it turns out. :) At the moment, they have "tried for baby" several times, but I haven't heard the little melodie saying it worked, but sometimes it happens anyway. I'm hoping for a ghost child with the ability to turn in to a toy and strut.

Unfortunately, my child is corporeal and not a ghost. And silly me didn't "save as" in order to try again. I may have to make them have another kid...this time I'll have the father use a ghost potion.
