Ch. 14: Anastasia Did What?So what's been going on? Oh, just about everything. Cinderella has been frequenting the consignment shop in order to sell her paintings. She's only a couple thousand shy of level 10. This is Mr. Harvey House, and he is in fact, Eric's father. He is married to Maxine House.
However, Anastasia decides to go to the consignment shop one day to see why Cinderella is there so often. She meets Mr. House... and she seems to like him. A lot.
Anastasia visits the consignment shop as often as she can. This is hard considering her thiev--I mean working hours are night hours, and she needs to sleep during the day. On one of Cinderella's usual trips, she chats Harvey up to see how he's doing. All seems fine until he asks about Anastasia.
Harvey: How has your sister, Anastasia been?
Cinderella: Anastasia?! How do you know her?
Harvey: She comes here all the time. Or she used to... she hasn't been around here in a while.
Cinderella: Why in the world would Anastasia come here?
Harvey: I don't know, to check on your paintings and chat, I guess?
Cinderella: Ugh, she is up to no good. There's no reason for her to be here.
Harvey: Well, I kind of like it when she stops by. She's a sweet girl.
Cinderella: Anastasia?! She's not sweet! She just got arrested! I bet that's why she hasn't been down here.That's right. Anastasia got arrested on the job.
Later that night, Cinderella invites Eric over. She's been thinking about it a lot, and she decided that she really likes him.
So much, that she even proposes to him. She was clumsy and almost dropped the ring, but Eric accepted nonetheless.
The next day, while repairing the dishwasher, Anastasia starts a fire in the kitchen! Kristopher tries to put it out but to no avail. However, Belle also pitches in and the fire is eventually put out. Those firemen took forever to show up.
Through the rest of the week, Anastasia is still taking trips to the consignment shop. Just what is she doing over there?
It turns out that Anastasia has a thing for Eric's dad! And Harvey is still married to Maxine! Anastasia quickly puts an end to that and asks Harvey to break up with his long-time wife, which he surprisingly does. Later in the week, Anastasia goes over to Harvey's house. It turns out Maxine is still living with him, even though they're divorced. And worse, she still seems to have feelings for him and is trying to get him back.
Anastasia does not like this. Even if she and Harvey aren't technically dating, it is just appalling that he's still living with his ex-wife! Anastasia decides to make a daring move. It fails at first, but she eventually convinces Harvey to partake in some intimacy.
Then, while Harvey is sound asleep, Anastasia struts downstairs and confronts Maxine.
Anastasia: How dare you still live here! I'm going to beat you up!
Then, Anastasia goes back upstairs to wake Harvey.
Anastasia: I can't believe Maxine is still living here! We're done!
Harvey: Are you serious?! I just left my wife for you and you're breaking up with me because she's still living here? You can't do that to me!
Anastasia: Uh, sure I can. See ya.The next day, Cinderella takes a trip to the consignment store. She sees that Harvey is rather depressed.
Cinderella: Harvey, what's wrong?
Harvey: It's Anastasia...
Harvey continues to explain everything. How he really liked her, how he left his wife for her, then how she left him.
Harvey: I guess I should have expected it. Maxine is still living with me, and I never told Anastasia.
Cinderella: Harvey, this is so not your fault. Anastasia is evil.
Harvey: No, she just felt betrayed... I guess I'll just have to see if I can patch things up with Maxine.Cinderella leaves furious. She immediately goes home to confront Anastasia, and she isn't sure that Harvey will be okay.
Upon returning home, Cinderella corners Anastasia by the stairs.
Cinderella: Anastasia, what were you thinking, using my fiance's father like that?! You single handedly ruined my fiance's family! And right before he's supposed to join ours!
Anastasia: Oh, get over it. It's only right that I get to ruin your life since you're ruining mine!
Cinderella: What are you talking about?
Anastasia: As if you didn't know.
Cinderella: No, I really don't know.
Anastasia: Why should you get to marry when I don't? Huh? Maybe I want to have a relationship and a kid and actually have a life! But I don't get to do any of that because of you!
Cinderella: Look... I didn't--
Anastasia: Oh, you didn't know. That's right. You were too self-absorbed in your own happiness to even think that I wanted any happiness.
Cinderella: I'm really sorry, Anastasia. I wish there was something I could do for you.
Anastasia: Yeah, well forget about it. Go enjoy your wedding.
Cinderella: I don't even know if there's going to be a wedding. I'm sure Eric is a mess right now. I was so concerned about you that I haven't even talked to him yet.
Anastasia: Oh, I'm sure you were very concerned about me. The first thing you did was yell "Oh, hi Anastasia, are you okay?!"
Cinderella: Look, I'm sorry. But I really need to talk to Eric now.
Cinderella: Eric, can you come over?
Eric: Sure, I'll be over in a few minutes.Next Chapter
