If you are the parent, you'll have to wait for your great-grandchildren's children before you can continue any romantic interactions down your bloodline (if I remember this correctly; I'm 99% sure this was how it was in one of my games).

I haven't tested cousins; but hey, cousin-cousin marriage is legal in Sweden even though the state strongly discourages it. ;D

According to Samoth's explanation, it is possible for granddaughter and grandfather to engage in romantic interactions? (There would be something seriously wrong with The Sims 3 if that was possible...)

So I will have to wait and try, and I will tell you guys about the results.  :D
I hope it works. I've been raising the kids and choosing their traits depending only on this idea (getting them married eventually), so I hope I won't lose what I worked for. ;D

Thanks for all the help.  :)

As implied by my post, I couldn't engage in romantic interactions with my great-grandchild. So, unless I encountered a random glitch (which isn't impossible), you'd have to wait for your great-grandchild's child for your sim to 'reconnect your family tree'. ;)

Well, that maybe settles the argument for cousins. What about second cousins?

If the parents are cousins, their children will be second cousins to one another.

I believe romantic interactions are possible between second cousins.  That happened in my Legacy family.  Children of cousins are far enough removed from each other in the bloodline that romance is ok.

Well, I may try that second cousin thing later . ;)

Guys, what should I do with the fish my Sim catches? other than putting them in a bowl?
And, my Sims keep having a wish to "see their son/daughter get married" after I have already kicked that son/daughter out. How can I make that wish come true when I don't control that son/daughter anymore?

The fish you can either sell them or make dishes with them (they can be used as ingredients in some recipes and if you cook those dishes you don't have to buy all ingredients from the refrigerator at that time; the game will steal from your inventory instead of costing you money).

For that wish, you can either by chance see your child get married on its own (can actually happen) or you'll have to take control of the child again. Since option 1 here is very rare, I would suggest you skip that wish unless you plan to move the child back in in the immediate future.

Fish also make a great fertilizer for a garden.  And, of course, Deathfish are required to make Ambrosia.

Yeah, but also note that you never should use a death fish as a fertilizer. It's an instant plant-killer. All other fishes are great for it though.

I did reply to that!

Wait, somehow it's moved to a new thread!? Either it's another moderator that's done it or the forum program is glitching. I'm certain it was in this thread first when I had posted it. If noone contacts me later I'm gonna merge it back in here, but for now, my replies to both your questions (which was posted before Pam's here in this thread) are here.

EDIT: Fixed it. Figured it must have been a glitch or something. :P
