i have lost my sims bar down the side of the page

I have lost some sims and the sims bar on the side of the page and cannot control them? please help

Just to clarify, did your only player controlled sim die?

A 1920s era house needing heat, AC, new floors, new drywall on the walls and ceilings, new bathroom fixtures, new kitchen cabinets, new water heaters.... The roof is sound, but why didn't I just buy an empty lot?

Do you mean that everything that you can click to control your sims has disappeared? My cat rubbed his face on my keyboard once and that happened. Have you tried pressing the tab key? Have you restarted?

Maybe you have accidentally zoomed it so that the computer thinks your screen is bigger than it is? Is there any problems like this in other programs? Has the far left end of the blue bar at the down disappeared?

Have you traveled recently?  Sometimes this happens when you go to one of the countries from World Adventures.  Another thing would be to go back to a previous save.
