What jodysuzanne said. I was a total latecomer to the Sims 3 and I'll most likely take my time in getting to 4. I'm definitely rooting for the alternating contests idea!

At the risk of posting a 'me too' reply which is against forum rules and (rightly so) I wish to echo the thoughts of the other commenters
I have only just started playing the Sims 3 this year and have only recently started to participate in the different challenges and competitions the forum has and feel it's such a shame I jumped in at the last minute. So if there is any possibility of future Sims 3 CAS competitions alternating with Sims 4 I'd definitely support that.  I'd love to get Sims 4 but since I'm still exploring Sims 3 I won't be getting it for a while. But of course, I understand it is a lot of work to run them so we would understand if it was simply too much for so few contestants.

I am another latecomer to Sims 3, and won't be able to play Sims 4 for various reasons (I can only support one video game addiction in my life, and Sims 3 is the one my sisters share with me).  Put me in as another vote for alternating contests!
