How do you take a vacation in Sims 3

I have Generations,and Seasons installed,but how do i get my Young Adult to take a vacation does it happen in a certain season.

You need to have World Adventures to travel.

You need to use the phone and select Real Estate and Travel. From there you can select travel and you will get prompted to choose a destination. No specific season is needed.
